Could be really nice, but there are lots of quirks – and – beware of bad memory cards
I got the device and tried it first out and was amazed. I liked it a lot.But then…1. *From day one*: Battery charging. You need to find a working charger – AND – need to use the correct USB-c outlet. It appears that I have plenty of chargers, but only two worked.2. *The SW on the device is out of date*: The on device SW does not get any updates anymore since the beginning of the year and cannot handle things like e.g. ScummVM – even though it claims it can do it. I have wasted lots of time until I have read that you HAVE TO update to a totally different distribution now (Rocknix) on your own. (I have wasted days to figure this out).3. *4 weeks later* the SD cards which came with the device died – both shortly apart. So if you want to use the device: Step 1: Order also good SD cards and copy them over before use. Otherwise there is no way to get the 20000 games back. Amazon sent me to powkiddy and powkiddy did let me hang for a month and finally told me to either download games on my own – or – ping Amazon (and they do not care as the time for support is up).So – in theory this is a really a nice device which comes with a huge amount of games. But in all practicality it appears to be something which is not recommendable due to horrible support and cheap hardware.

It works and easy to upload games. It have nice feels to it. The games that comes are not that great. Just upload your own. Play PS1 games really well. It comes with original tomb raider 1-5.

I was not expecting this to be as good as it is. It totally exceeded my expectations. This is essentially a Powkiddy X55 system. There are tons of reviews on the web and YouTube for this device so I will not write about the device itself. Note that there will be a lot of variations for the product due to how it is configured and the accessories it comes with. I would be more concerned about the seller’s rating and how it comes configured.If you are very familiar with how emulators work and how to load/configure ROMs, they you may want to get a cheaper version that only comes with the device. If you want a system that you do not have to mess with and be able to play with out of the box, this is a great option for the price. The settings and configuration this comes preloaded with, seems to be done very well. I have not checked all the games, but the ones I did check all worked. It made use of the whole screen and did not have the black bars on the sides for the older games. This is an option you can change if you want.Based on the buying options currently, there are two choices. A black and blue with 20,000 games. So, if you purchase through this seller, it _should_ come with two micro-SD cards (1 is the 16GB OS and the other is 128GB with games preloaded!). If your system did not come with an SD card or preloaded games, I would contact the seller to get it resolved. For some reason mine did not come with any Mario related games.The instructions are not very good and it is not complete but good enough. The instructions are for basic usage and it was enough to get going and start playing the games. Also, it is sort of intuitive on how to use it and the options are laid out in the screen as well. For the more advanced options, you’ll need to reference the web.I had trouble getting it to detect/connect to my main TV using the mini-hdmi to hdmi cable but eventually I was able to. I got it to work with two other TVs without any issues. I have not enabled the Wi-Fi on the device. I got a Bluetooth controller for the switch and it connected to the system with no issues and I was able to use it as the main controller and also as the 2nd player controller.The second 128GB micro-SD has a backup system folder containing the image and software to restore the image for the OS in case your main 16GB SD card fails. It also has really basic instructions on how to do it. The system does not appear to be the same as what I see on the web. The web and systems appear to have the JELOS image, while this seems to have some kind of Powkiddy image. I was able to create a new OS card with a new SD Card and the image and software they provided and it was very easy.The only complaint I have is that it seems to charge very slowly. I cannot use my high wattage chargers (won’t detect/charge). The lower wattage chargers work but seems to take forever to charge. It may be because I am charging from 80% up. Lot of devices charge fast when it is low and slow down the charging for the last 10% or so.

Ordered this for myself and immediately was thrown back by the flimsiness of the console the buttons felt extremely generic and it was an issue with the screen on some games! My favorite games music lagged heavily and performance was subpar! Skip this one get Trimui smart pro if you’re in the market for a budget retro gaming console!
