    Easy setup and good sound
Easy to setup and hookup to my tv. Pretty good sound too for a smaller surround sound system! Overall really happy with the purchase

Better as computer speakers or maybe something in a small room
I am bit biased when it comes to home theater systems. If it doesn’t have a receiver and dozens of speakers, I’m not interested. I have 16 speakers just in the front 3 channels of my main home theater system. This definitely doesn’t come close to what a real home theater system can do, but it also costs less than literally every part of a real home theater system aside from the banana plugs and the speaker wire.I ended up using this as a computer speaker setup and it works quite well for that. I don’t expect to be blown away by my computer speakers. This system sounds fine for that. It’s certainly better than all those really cheap 2.0 speakers that are all over the place now. I guess everyone just uses headphones or real sound systems now, but it’s hard to find decent computer speakers these days. I miss the days of going into a computer store and seeing a whole aisle of real speakers. This does not have any kind of passthrough. That definitely means I won’t be using it as an actual home theater system. You’d need that if you wanted to do something like output sound from something to this, and then pass the video through to a monitor or TV or whatever. As computer speakers, it works fine enough. It has enough bass and sounds fairly clear. It definitely isn’t crazy thumping bass, but it’s only a 5.25″ subwoofer. That being said, if you are coming from something with zero bass (like a 2.0 system) this will be infinitely better. It sounds pretty decent for most music. It’s also quite good for music. So, as a home theater system, it’s a bit lacking for several reasons. It works for computer speakers though.

Budget surround sound system with easy setup, and sounds great.
Not everyone can afford a hundreds of dollars high-end external audio system for the TV. And frankly, after hooking up this well less than $100 system I question why I spent that kind of money on a fancy system. This is a 5.1 system with a center speaker bar, two satellite speakers and a subwoofer; plus it comes with an HDMI and optical audio cable, just in case you need those. Also, there are some mounts for the satellite speakers, but I didn’t end up using those. Connecting it to my TV took no more than 10 minutes, and half that time was spent making sure cables were neat and routed where I wanted them. I connected this to a mid-range priced TV, and used the ARC port so the TV (or cable) remote will also control the soundbar.Once everything is hooked up it’s only a matter of making a couple of adjustments to settings – specifically deciding on one of several EQ profiles, and whether or not to add any low-end / bass boost (it lets you cut the bass by 2 increments, and boost by one — I boosted. And, you have to make a couple of tweaks to the TV audio settings, namely to turn off the TV speakers. The difference in sound from the TV speakers only vs. the soundbar is frankly stunning. Even for a budget system like this. I can’t understate the difference a subwoofer (in this case a down-firing sub) makes to the overall sound quality. Even for someone like me who can be a bit of a sound snob, I am very impressed with this system. It’s super simple to install, doesn’t include a lot of bells and whistles to have to decipher, and honestly sounds great. I would have included a video of the sound difference when switching between the TV speakers and the soundbar, but that would probably anger the copyright police. So, not going to do that. All I can leave with is that for less than $100 you can get tremendously better sound for your TV programs with this system.

This sound system absolutely IMPRESSED me!
When I saw the price tag on this thing, didn’t think it would be any good at all. After I installed it and tested it out, I couldn’t believe what I was getting for the price. First off, it’s 5 channels, so you got the soundbar with 3 speakers, the subwoofer, and the two small surround sound speakers to put behind you. I set this up in my bedroom with the soundbar on the dresser under the TV, the surround speakers on my nightstands, and the subwoofer underneath the bed. The connection process was seamless, I had it hooked up straight out of the box in less than 10 minutes. My wife and I watched Top Gun with this and we felt like we were actually in the fighting scenes flying one of those awesome planes. The max volume has waaay more than enough potential to fill a bedroom with sound. The bass is great, although I’m sure that depends on placement of your subwoofer, and overall sound quality was definitely better than expected for a sound system of this price. Still has a bit of crackling and not enough depth of sound as I would like, but for what you’re paying on this system, it’s more than enough for an awesome introductory set.

    Decent surround sound.
This is a decent surround sound setup for the money. I connected this to my desktop. I had to use the Bluetooth option for this, but it does come with wires to direct connect if your setup has the jack ports. The bass is good, but the tweeters are a bit low in the sound they produce. I have it in my office which is not a big room, so it is good enough for me. The quality of the construction is good, and the directions are straight forward.
