Excellent for chatting without stereo game audio
I picked this up to prevent myself from being tethered to my XBOX controller with a wired headset and so I could still be able to hear my surroundings clearly while gaming. It meets my needs perfectly.Audio in voice chat is clear and easy to understand. Sound is monaural, so using audio clues for gaming is useless, but using it for chat while using the TV for game sounds clears that up.All in all, an excellent purchase. I may pick up another for my PC, as my wired headphones for Zoom meetings aren’t very good.

This little thing works great. You can hear your friends and teammates no problem, the game audio even sounds fine in it even though it’s only one ear. Stays connected fine. Plugs into the controller nice and snug. Only thing that would be cool to add would be a mic sensitivity slider or option but other than that the only reason I could think that people are leaving it bad reviews is getting the wrong one like playstation instead of Xbox, or expecting dual ear over the head quality sound stuff which come on can not happen from a single bud in one ear. But I love it will be using dauly!!!!!

Horrible headset
Pros: absolutely none. There’s nothing good to say about this product.Cons: everything. I set this headset up for chat which was the intended use case. Once setup it seemed good in a chat test other than the other person could hear an echo and once in game I couldn’t get the chat to work properly no matter what settings I used. The other players voices would queue up the microphone, my voice wouldn’t trigger the microphone, ambient sounds would trigger the microphone, and in the end of I was able to get it setup so I could talk everyone heard a massive echo and reverb.Final thoughts are Turtle Beach should make a public apology for ever releasing this and pull it from the shelves. Do not buy this piece of junk if you are looking for a quality headset, maybe I received a bad one but there are a lot of bad reviews for this to be a random issue.

Came fast & as described
I’ve been a gamer for a very long time throughout the entire history of the Xbox consoles the 360 had one of the best headsets a single ear with a boom and it was fantastic it was comfortable to wear rechargeable. When the Xbox One launched everything had to be wired tethered to your controller is part of the problem was claimed that if you wanted the HDMI sound you had to have it wired and it was a pain in the ass to use on a regular basis as I did being tethered to a controller all the time. Now this turtle Beach headset it launch shortly after the X series which it is compatible with along with the one, works just as well as the old 360 did with the addition of higher quality sound. It’s rechargeable it’s light You get used to wearing it very fast. There’s only one issue with this earbud/microphone, and that is if your controller batteries die which we’ve all experienced that you have to shut the microphone off with a long press wait for it to go off and then turn it back on for it to sink with your controller. I would almost give it a perfect score if it wasn’t just for that small tick now if you always change your controller batteries out before you start gaming you’ll never experience the issue but that doesn’t really happen in the real world and when it does happen while you’re in the middle of the game it’s an issue and for that I’m taking away a star. But still highly recommend this item as it is the only one on the market that gives you the freedom from wired to a controller.controller

A must have for on the go gaming
Great product for what it is. I needed a small headset for gaming on the go. They connectivity is seamless and quick. The adapter fits my controller perfectly. The sound quality is great, considering it’s only in one ear. I’ve been told the mic sounds good. I would definitely recommend this product. I’ve had for over a year and it’s held up great.

Was good for a few months
I have a lot of complaints about what I had perceived to be a solid purchase given the brand. All was lovely for about 3 months even though the adjustment arm wouldn’t stay out. My recommendation for an easy fix for that is to make the arm to where it clicks into place for maybe two or three levels. But it just gradually gets worse instead. So after a few months of that, I started to not be able to hear too well with it. I took off the earpiece and cleaned it, which we should all do often. There can tend to be wax buildup in their overtime. But I cleaned all that out and still the audio doesn’t come through well at all. I just went ahead and started using good Bluetooth headphones with the Xbox app on my phone. Downside to that is that I can only join parties and no game chat. I need to buy another headset for my joystick though. This has been such a disappointment. Not a bad price, but c’mon man, can I at least get a solid year out of it???

Worth It
I was tired of getting trapped in my cords, and the traditional headphones that go over your head makes my ears hot. This was a perfect solution and I can have my other ear free for emergencies. Not up to 5 stars just yet as there are some kinks.Once you plug it into your X-Box the part that goes into the remote is stuck and can not remove. (If you do you will have to add a little force, there is not release button. This makes me nervous and I don’t want to break my remote so I left it in.)The earbud on the earphone starts to feel very painful after a while and this was even on the smallest earbuds. The loop around the back starts to cause irritation as wellPros:-Wireless/no cord-Charges pretty quickly and the charge lasts.-Easy to use controls-Pretty straight forward and easy to follow instructions-When I am gaming with other people, they can hear me clearly and I can hear them.-Worth the priceCons:-The part that goes into the remote is difficult to do when not in use.-The pressure from the ear bud hurts after a new minutes of wearing them-Depending on the game however, you may need to hear sides and things coming near you.
