Quality product
I bought a couple of these no hassle cameras. They have everything included to set them up. Just charge the batteries up for 7.5 hours, mount and position them and the solar panels and they’re ready to deliver video to your smartphone. They are motion activated, capable of a two way conversation, and have lots more features which I will not take time to mention for this short review, but I will say they are a quality product and my batteries stay consistently 100% charged by the included solar panels.

Good affordable security cameras
My house got broken into a couple times then I moved. Then my psycho brother broke into my new house and bragged to me about it. So I started putting up cameras. I started with a ring camera which is very expensive and you have to pay a monthly fee. I found tapo and I love it. No monthly fee. Just put in a SD card, the cameras are affordable and they work great and it fixed my problem. Nobody has tried to get into my house, although I’ve seen a few cars drive through my driveway. They see the cameras and keep driving problem solved. Very happy! Definitely recommend

Cost Effective quality solution
Several thoughts, initially I selected TAPO 402 camera(s) because of a somewhat positive experience with TAPO extender(s) made by the same company as well as door bell camera – also same company. Mostly very happy with the purchases. The camera provides exceptional picture clarity. Installation was straight forward, the batteries were about 50% – 60% upon arrival. Manual says to let them charge for about 7 hours, mine charged in about 4.5 hours. included charger and cables worked well with NO ISSUES. Mounting the cameras was not a problem. Field of view was very good (especially the depth). I already had some experience with the app from 2 previous products. The different detection modes was EXTREMELY NICE. A MAJOR POSITIVE point was that everything can be accomplished with LOCAL (on the camera) storage by using a MICRO SD CARD (up to 512 GB).Recall and play back of the locally stored audio & video works well at home as well as away from home!All of the component cameras integrate very nicely with in the TAPO app and they play well together.You get 30 days free cloud storage with each individual camera (including the previously mentioned door bell camera — via an included HUB for the door bell). NO SUBSCRIPTION !! 🙂 🙂 :-)Here are I few things I wish TAPO would have done a bit better:PROVIDE LIVE PERSON to PERSON Technical support (not a fan of EMAIL or CHAT support – TOO LONG DELAY for REPLY).MORE secure mounting of cameral to stand — Maybe some type of security bolt or lock (??), it is too easy to remove the camera from the mount.Somewhat more user friendly NAMING CONVENTIONS – within the app.IMPROVE THE INTEGRATION & FUNCTION(s) WITH ALEXA — This was a major selling point for me.It took the better part of 3 hours on the phone with LIVE (person to person) AMAZON (technical) support to enable ALEXA to recognize the door bell camera and 2 of the other out side cameras, a major saving grace of that technical support session was that the agent was able to screen share with me through my phone, everything was thoroughly validated and secure for the screen share.MAYBE TAPO could offer this in the future — perhaps 30 days worth from initial installation .Was eventually able to get ALEXA to announce (and show) when some was at the door.The TAPO cameras work very well with their app, ALEX (app) works very well with its show hardware!Getting BOTH platforms to play NICE with each other was a chore, BUT, in the end well worth it!Happy with all of the cameras definitely plan to purchase at least one more. I am glad that I purchased them and expect that they will last a long time.I have not been compensated in ANY way for this review

Better than Google Nest
I bought the Tapo products off Black Friday. I figured: at that price how can you go wrong? I was right. First off, the setup is quick and easy. Download the app, follow the guides to install the camera and off you go. The app is not always intuitive though so you might have to fiddle with it to get it dialed in just how you want. Once you do though, it’s pretty seamless. I had the Nest products before this and between the reliability issues and app non-compatability, this is by far better.I gave it four stars instead of five for two reasons. 1) The app could use a bit of tweaking and 2) I’d prefer it if I could go back and review footage from when there wasn’t an alert (which Google does have an edge on them for). Other than those two relatively minor points though, I’m very happy with it thus far.

Good Looking Cam
Got the solar version of the C402, this security camera captures all activities with its clear wide-angle lens, even during the night. Easy to install and set-up, after charging, just pair it with the Tapo app and it’s good to go. For $45 bucks, it’s a buy!

This is my first solar camera.I set this camera up about 200 foot away from the house works great. I have six other Tapo cameras plus light switches in the house.This system and app works great for over two years now.

A fantastic outdoor camera with a limitless power source
I wish these were out before I ordered the outdoor 2k tapo cameras that work off of a battery charge. The set-up process was the same and should be done a full day ahead of install time. Once it comes to installation it couldn’t be any simpler and if you set one of these up with plenty of open sky for the solar panel it will stay charged indefinitely. Has a bit of a limited activation range unfortunately but without getting more expensive, subscription-based cameras these are about as dependable as they get! I will definitely be buying some more!

Great camera for the cost and capabilities.
Great easy to use camera. Solar panel works great and installation is very easy. It does have a subscription for recording but I personally like to use an SD card so it works if the wifi goes out. ( can’t view it but it records.)I do wish it had a continuos recording option instead of being event based but for the price it’s great.

Pra quem usava uma xing ling de 100 reais da Shopee, essa daqui é uma divindade. Campo de visão amplo, cores boas, aproveitei e comprei um repetir descente tb da TPLink e não tive problemas ainda, sempre muito rápida a conexão ao abrir o app e mover a câmera. A câmera noturna achei muito boa, se passar mt rápido pode ser que não veja tão bem, mas da para ver feições que se for necessário caçar a pessoa pode ajudar uns 80%, comparada a anterior minha, 200% melhor nesse quesito. Instalação bem rápida, o problema que achei foi a troca de Wifi, o meu repetidor chegou depois e tive que trocar o Wifi cadastrado, ai tu tem que subir na escada, tirar a tampinha da camera, tirar parafuso, para ai conseguir reiniciar ela e recadastrar, acho que o app poderia ter alguma forma mais fácil de fazer isso, pq se for um idoso ou muito trampo de mexer na câmera, é um pé no saco mesmo.Outro contra é o app do computador, no meu caso Windows, achei bem ruim, a câmera perde a qualidade no pc, horrivel a conexao para se mover, a xingling eram bemmm melhor nesse quesito. Para quem tiver dificuldade em achar um app, uso o iSpy v7.2.6.0 . Muito ruim, inacreditável uma empresa nao fazer um app simples para conectar, mover, qualidade de video igual ao do celular, mas ok, faz parte. O app no celular é muito bom, notifica mais do que eu acho necessário, bem sensível, mas muito boa a qualidade e manuseio, única coisa que peca é realmente a troca do Wifi como disse.Som bom, microsd bem fácil de colocar e armazena certinho.Outra coisa legal do app do celular é os modos que aparecem no print da última foto, vc salva os modos que quer pré-ajustado e quando clica mt rapidamente já vai para a posição, curti muito, a chinesa tinha isso mas o app coloca logo de cara e é muito mais rápido, rapidasso mesmo. Curti muito.Se a Amazon colocar a venda a de 2k em uns 600 por ai eu iria preferir. Mas pagar 400 reais nessa daqui não acho ruim não, acho bem bom o custo beneficio, eu compraria novamente, mas vou aguardar a de 2k. Acho que em segurança não devemos economizar.
