The setup was easy, and the drive was recognized by my Windows 10 laptop without any issues.The drive is very fast and reliable, and it works well with the Toshiba Storage Backup Software and the Toshiba Storage Security Software, which are both included for free. The backup software lets me schedule automatic backups of my files, and the security software lets me password-protect my drive to prevent unauthorized access.The drive is very slim and lightweight, and it fits easily in my backpack or pocket. The plastic casing feels sturdy and durable, and the drive is very quiet during operation. The only minor drawbacks are that the cable is a bit short, and the drive does not have any rubber feet to prevent sliding on smooth surfaces. Like many people, my desktop computer tends to be filled with many files (pictures, videos, etc.).Having a portable external hard drive like this serves two purposes for me: it frees up space on my computer’s internal hard drive since I can transfer files to the external drive, and it acts as a backup, too, since I tend to have several additional external drives.Whatever system you run (PC or Mac), this drive is ready to be used as soon as it’s plugged into your computer. However, in my case, I opted to reformat it so that it could be read on both Mac and PC computers. After reformatting, I plugged it into both devices, and I was able to transfer files to and from the drive to my computers.As far as transfer speed, I moved a 47GB folder to the drive, and it took around 15 minutes. I just wanted to note this to illustrate to those curious about the length of time it takes to move files.This external drive from Toshiba was affordable, offered sufficient space for my needs, and was simple to set up. It’s definitely a solid choice if you need a backup device or a place to house files that are cluttering up your computer’s internal hard drive.

It does not work for PLAYSTATION 5 GAMES!!!
I like that it has so much space for the PS 4 games, but i didn’t realize that it didn’t work for PS 5 games. Make sure to read if it saves PS 5 games. Very quite, goes into the PS 5, but only in the back USB ports. It was Plug and play. I just had to let the PS 5 format the disk, and it was ready to save my PS 4 games. Also, if you get a PS5 Hard drive, it can save to the drive, but can’t run games from the drive. PS4 games can run from the external drive.

I’ve had good luck with this brand of drives in the past. Luckily they keep introducing higher capacity drives at lower prices as cameras make higher and higher resolution photos. I can afford to stay backed up while traveling with these.Actually bought two more (in a different color) to back up the video project files that threatened to overrun my NAS

Fantástico acessório de expansão para o Xbox One S. Foi plugar no console e facilmente reconhecível. Transferi alguns jogos do console para este HD externo e testei. Iniciou mais rápido do que o HD interno original. Coloquei diretamente em cima do console, mas achei que esquentou um pouco. Coloquei um separador para melhorar o fluxo de ar. Não sei se tem desempenho melhor que o concorrente (Seagate), mas o preço estava mais acessível na ocasião da compra. Ainda não posso opinar sobre a robustez, pois tem pouco tempo de utilização. Em resumo: é rápido no acesso e totalmente compatível com o Xbox.
