The USB reader does make a difference.
I’ve not had any issues with Samsung SD mini cards for years now. And I can’t say I expect any here. It is a fast reliable card, works well with my cameras, useful right out of the card with my computer, and plays nice with both my Fire tablets, smartphone, and laptop.But now let’s get down to some business. I’ll let someone with the proper equipment do the minute tracking details. From the objective standpoint, the card (in the camera) doesn’t appear “that” much faster than my older Samsung 60GB SD minis’. maybe a fraction of a second. But this is a more of a limitation on my camera’s ability to transmit data not the card. With an upgrade in the near future, I expect the new cards larger size and ability to quickly record data to play a bigger factor. As for downloading, again couldn’t be easier. Here the read speed did come into play, as the same amount of data was transferred noticeably faster.So why did I buy this? I really wanted the USB reader. I’ve read elsewhere that the current USB readers are notably faster for data transfer than the “card sleeve” adaptors. While my computer and laptop have both options (USB3 / SD card slots), I wanted to see if there was any noticeable difference between the two. Surprisingly – yes. I used both the new card and one of my older Samsung 64GB cards for the test. With the older card, the adaptor uploaded 59GB in about 65 minutes vs the same data took 35 minutes. New 256GB card (same data) – adaptor 60 minutes vs USB 27 minutes. Then the fun test downloading (same destination drive for the target): 64GB card: 45 minutes vs USB28, and the 256GB card: adaptor 49 minutes vs USB 27 minutes.Hardly scientific, but pretty clear results. The USB adapter DID make a difference both in writing and reading the data on both cards. Can’t say I’ll always be using it, but for the price of a new card, it was worth adding to my computer equipment.

Works as expected, both the card and reader
Adding disk space on a Surface Pro via a USB 3 port. Appears to be as fast as the MicroSDXC port on the back so I’m happy. Samsung memory card works like every other one I bought.

Awesome card, real fast
Bought for my A53 and it doubles my storage. It’s plenty fast enough to keep up with my phone streaming videos off it, and uploading is real fast too. I’m gonna buy the larger storage cards next

Got this on sale and it is a welcomed upgrade!
I was super happy to upgrade from my 256GB Prograde Digital card to this 512GB SAMSUNG PRO Ultimate card. I use them in my Sony a6400 Camera and they both work great. But this Samsung card wasn’t showing up on my tablet with any USB Reader I try. It worked fine on my computer, but not on the tablet. Eventually I had put the SD Card in the tablet and formatted it. Then put it in my camera and recorded a video. It finally showed up as external drive after this! Very odd that I had to format it in the tablet itself to get it to show up, hopefully this could help someone else with a similar issue.

Great product, even better when on sale
You may not be able to appreciate the quality and speed of a card and reader like this until you’ve used one… if you order this, and also have a slower speed reader and card, you’ll see that the difference is night and day. With this reader and card, you can go through and watch recorded clips as they stay on the card in the reader… but if you used a slower card and slower reader, it would buffer and wouldn’t be so quick to play the videos from the reader/card — you’d be better off copying it all to your computer to watch, sort, and filter them first.I feel like this product goes on sale once or twice a year. It’s an OK price at the MSRP already, but just throwing that out there. Highly recommend though.

Escribe a más de 120 y lee a más de 180.Dependiendo del tamaño de los archivos, claro. Documentos pequeños se copian a ~35mb. Regularmente copia a 80-90, pero archivos grandes de vídeo si los copia a +120 y mantiene las velocidades.Puesta en el adaptador, también alcanza las mismas velocidades, siempre y cuando el puerto USB tolere esas velocidades.La utilizo en una ROG Ally y la pongo en el adaptador cuando quiero copiar archivos desde mi PC.Si vas a usar una MicroSD para instalar programas o juegos, esta es la memoria que quieres.Claro que no se compara con las velocidades un disco duro SSD, pero si se nota mucho la diferencia de velocidad al cargar los juegos y copiar archivos comparada con la Adata que utilizaba antes que también tenía las mismas certificaciones (A2, V30, U3, etc.).

I bought this simply for the Samsung reader as it seems impossible to purchase in Canada at the moment. With this reader, it unlocks the “SUPER FAST MODE” of my 512BG Samsung card allowing it to be read at 130 MB/Sec. The included card did about 150MB/s. Very very very good speeds for MicroSD
