Highly recommend muOS if you are wanting to play N64.
At first when i received this device i was fighting with it, trying to get it to work right. Finally after 4 CFWs later its perfect. Mainly wanted it for N64 games and while its NOT perfect for that, its still a fantastic device! I HIGHLY recommend muOS to be installed. The stock OS is meh, Modded Stock OS is better but not as good as some people say. And im still using the nonbranded micro SD card with it and i have no issues. Not saying that they wont happen for everyone, but for me, its working great. Will be getting a new sd card later on. Over all a GREAT little handheld!

Nostalgia Overload!! Love it!
This arrived weeks ago and I’m still finding gems on it from my youth. Sure, the interface out of the box is kinda funky and a bit messy. Sure, you gotta scan around to find things because they may not be labeled like you remember it. But wow – there’s tons of games on here and TONS of nostalgia!! Lots of fun and other old timers like me who grew up playing the originals freak out when I show this to them – they love it! If you don’t like the user interface and preloaded games, then there are tutorials out there to wipe everything out and reload it with better UI and tailor selected games. Overall – lots of fun and very portable.

Stuck at the loading screen
This was great for the first week or so. Then it started occasionally getting stuck at the loading screen. Now it rarely moves past the loading screen.Edited to add that I have reached out to Amazon and the seller for support. Amazon was not able to help me and directed me to the seller. The seller has not responded to my inquiry. Now I have a sad 10 year old with a Christmas gift that won’t turn on and no support. Don’t waste your time.

Unbelievably difficult to setup GarlicOS.
Tried to setup GarlicOS. Because the stock OS is bad. It is unbelievably complex. It is literally over 100 steps and requires half a dozen third-party softwares. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU LIKE SPENDING HOURS, AND HOURS, AND HOURS setting it up. You will need new SD cards, then it goes off the rails from there. Maybe I am just stupid, but dang it could not be more complex. Then the read-me is beyond useless, it literally tells windows users to just figure it out at certain points. WOW. I should have looked up the support online for this. It is a chaotic mess of disorganized nonsense and disconnected instructions. 4 stars because the concept is great.

A great handheld that’s worth the price!
This little console is a budget powerhouse! It runs all of the basic games from the PS1 era and earlier, and I’ve not ran into much trouble with Dreamcast games. It has major slowdowns and choppiness on some N64 games, but most run well. I wasn’t expecting it to be much more than a retro-home console emulator. For that, it’s perfect.The joysticks feel almost exactly like Switch joysticks. They have a nice pull, they’re sturdy, and the ‘click’ is satisfying. The other face buttons (such as the D-Pad and A/B/X/Y) are a nice spongy texture. Shoulder buttons have a nice click to them, with four shoulder buttons, L1/R1 and L2/R2.The screen is beautiful and vibrant, gets bright, and has a nice “dim” mode as well.The body size of this thing is perfect for pockets, but only if it’s the only thing in that pocket. It comes with a screen protector, however the edges of the screen are rounded and the screen protector eventually lifts at the edges. The back of the device has two ‘pads’ where your fingers can grip it while playing, which is nice, but it catches in the pocket sometimes.The sound comes out loud through the bottom, and has a nice pop and bass to it.I dig it! I’d fully recommend it for someone looking for an affordable handheld with joysticks!

Better than expected
So the first one I ordered let me try one game and then I powered it off. After turning it back on it would not load past the logo screen. The very next day I set up a return. Because the product felt so well built I decided to give it a second shot and they sent me a second one. The new one works great. This is a very solid device. You can tell by holding it in your hands that quality was on the mind of its creator. It plays rom hacks as well. And with the ability to plug into a TV (needs a mini to standard HDMI) I can play Super Mario RPG Armageddon on my tv. Great deal. Would recommend.
