How to sync with N64 wireless switch controller
How to connect with Nintendo N64 Switch Controller:1. Plug unit into original N64 and power on2. Take N64 wireless controller and hit Sync button and hold for 3-4 seconds3. Should Auto Sync.Also, if you’ve already synced the N64 controller to your switch, make sure switch is off or far away in another room.

Successful Connection with the 8bitdo Mod Kit for the OEM N64 Controller
I had bought the 8bitdo Mod Kit for an OEM N64 Controller because I wanted to turn an OEM N64 Controller into a blue tooth wireless controller. I needed to buy an adapter to use it on an original N64. They did sell a blue tooth adapter but they always sell out quickly. Luckily, I found the Blue Retro Wireless Controller Adapter here on Amazon. I did have some doubts at 1st but when I connected it, it was able to easily connect to my now wireless OEM N64 controller. If you used the 8bitdo Mod Kit of an oringianl N64 controller and want to use that controller on your original N64, this is a must grab.

Excellent with N64 NSO controller
Works perfectly out of the box with the Switch N64 controller. Basically no setup. Plug in the dongle, turn on the 64, and sync the controller. Default buttons are mapped already. Got all the medals over again in Star Fox 64 and never had any desync or latency problems along the way.

Anyone wanting something for the Brawler64 Bluetooth NSO controller, this does work, though sometimes the rumble glitches and doesn’t stop unless you adjust it up or down, or just fire off a couple more shots. Not sure if that’s an issue with the Brawler or this receiver. The rumble is intense. Edit: This is something specific to the Brawler, or compatibility between it and the receiver. The official N64 Bluetooth controller has properly working rumble.For quite a few of the games I play (first person shooters), you have to swap back and forth between the rumble pak and the memory pak / memory card. I have not yet figured out how to access the virtual memory pak. If you hold the Home button of the controller, you’ll feel a big vibration for rumble activation, or a small vibration for memory pak activation. It does not appear, though, that anything actually saves.The clear shell looked the coolest but you may want to go with an opaque color, if you prefer your consoles to not have so many distracting LEDs poking out of it.UPDATE: Having gotten an official N64 Bluetooth controller, the one meant for Switch, I can confirm the rumble works great. The infinite rumble issue seems to be either with the Brawler64 or just an incompatibility between the two devices. Using virtual saves would be nice but I cannot find instructions for using it in a way that actually retains saves. Unfortunately, swapping in a physical memory pak (through another controller, or receiver with memory slot) seems to reset many games.

Surprisingly works for my PS5 controller.
I’ve been using the PS5 controller for my Xbox One with the Brooke adapter I bought for it. Wanted to use it for my N64, and it took a while for me to get itnto work. I was able to play an N64 repro of Zelda: Ocarina of Time-Master Quest, and it surprizingly works as if it was an N64 controller. It even vibrates for games that has a rumble feature. Ganondorf’s castle crumbling in a cutscene made me realize that first hand. Now I know what I’m playing with for any N64 game… waiting on the GameCube adapter, expecting similar results.
