    It is a beautiful thing
For old school gamers, this is is beautiful.

Over all fun for a few minutes.
Need different controllers. These are so cheaply made the back won’t stay on after putting batteries in it. Also just started playing mario on it and the contoller button A is already messing up. I mean it would be a 5 star if it just had one decent controller to use. Not these thin plastic kind that feels like a dollar tree toy.

You get a lot of games…especially arcade games but it’s not all perfect
For several years, we are starting to see more retro game consoles being released. And I think companies are testing the limits of what kind of consoles and games can be offered. With the retro games console, “Game Stick Lite”, what you have is a stick with a 128 GB card. Connect one micro USB to the stick and the other to a USB powered device. Then the HDMI adapter to the stick itself to make an extender (so you don’t have to connect the stick directly to your monitor/TV).And then you get two PS2-like controllers which take two AAA batteries and you can play over 20,000 games.Granted, some of the games are in different languages.  So you can have a game and it be the European version, the German version, the French version, etc.  So, that’s important to know. The games range from MAME games (about 1,702 games), Famicom (about 6,300 games), Gameboy (about 3,720 games), Gameboy Advance (1,120 games), Gameboy Color (about 170 games), Sega Master (about 1,900 games), Super Famicom (about 5,000 games), Playstation (about 40 games) and Atari (about 20 games). The fact I was able to play some of the Japanese games I grew up with again, was pretty cool.   The games play right at the start and play rather smoothly. But not all is perfect. There are a few caveats that I’ve noticed. When I was playing “Tennis no Oujisama Gold” on GBA, the green tennis court was black. Another was when playing the shmup “DoDonPachi Dai”, the screen is automatically set to wide and there was no way to make it 4:3, so it made it hard to play (and that game was one that I was hoping to play the most). Also, games that allowed for saving thanks to a special saving rom on the cartridge, you will not have that option with this game. I was connected to an adapter to stream, so there was a 15 second audio lag, but I doubt the lag will be evident when connected to a TV or monitor. But for the most part, I was impressed that the NeoGeo games are featured. Again, these are based off Japanese MAME, and are not the newer Hamster versions which have QoL additions such as ie. level editing and coin editing. These are the games that play as is at the arcade without the added coin support.Personally, I rather play the Hamster remastered versions but to each their own.  As I like to set the level settings as some games are insanely hard, also to load many coins before playing.  So, you don’t have that as an option with these games.  But granted, these newer remastered games cost money, with this, you are getting 20,000+ games in a stick. If anything, you are getting a ton of games for the price and the fact that these are not on a hard drive is a plus. It’s literally plug and play and ready to go.  But the fact that there are over 20,000 games especially those games that you grew up playing in the arcade, it does make this retro game console enticing. If you are into Retro Game Consoles, then this one may be for you!

  6. It’s junk, the controllers do not work. I can pull up the game screen but no interface.

    Controller is useless
The screen comes up but the controllers don’t work tried two different sets of batteries and nothing.

    Blast from the past
Honestly, I’m not sure how this exists. And at the price?! It’s crazy you can get so many games, plus 2 controllers, and the little accessories needed for this price. It’s not perfect, but dang it offers a lot of fun.Not to mention, it has a pretty decent interface for navigating all those games. Not excellent, but is responsive and works well enough.Simple and easy to figure out how to get around the screens. There are instructions included as well. they are just so-so. But you really don’t need them. What you do need, that’s not included is a power block for the USB to power the device. Most folks have them for phones and other stuff that uses USB power. It plugs into HDMI for your TV, then into power (USB), that is it. You are ready to play!Onto the games. There’s a lot. More than I would be able to play in my lifetime I think. If you’re wondering if the hits from the good ol’ days are there….they are! There’s a menu selection for things categorized by the gaming device they were born on.Also many arcade style games from the 80’s and 90′. It’s pretty amazing.Plus exiting and getting back to the home screen is easy too. No shutting down or restarting like some other retro gaming collection device options. All sort of games. Many classics. A bunch I’ve never heard of and not in English. But still entertaining for a try.The controllers are very reminiscent of the wireless PS2 I think. They have all the same/similar buttons and all seem to function well. 2 AAA batteries are required for each controller. I play less than 10 feet away but have no problem with connection or response when moving around. All in all, like I said, I’m amazed at this simple little thing. And again, it’s not necessarily perfect. But – the selection of games and overall controls and function are great. To me, it’s a no brainer if you’re interested in revisiting and enjoying the games of the past.

Packed with thousands of retro video games, finding them is a bit of a challenge however
If there is an arcade or home console game that you played in the 80s or 90s, chances are you’ll find it in this little system…eventually, that is. Unfortunately, very few of these games have the names that they appeared under in the USA. There is a search function, but I had more luck scrolling through the options and stopping on games that had a recognizable thumbnail image. That said, once you find a game, most seem to appear and play how you remember them from the arcade or your home consoles. The controllers are no great shakes, but get the job done. And the HDMI connection is a big improvement over a lot of these retro video game collection systems. If you’re up for a bit of searching, I think you’ll enjoy the gaming nostalgia.
