This seems like a solid soft desk
I think it does what it claims it does. However, there are a couple of things that some purchasers may wish to consider:1) The desk is massive so may not be the best for small spaces. This is probably not for those who have smaller spaces. I live in an apartment that is already overcrowded. Therefore, this purchase may not have been the best idea. This works perfectly for my bed (discussed below). However, since it cannot be broken down, it takes up a lot of space when not in use. | Also, if you have a partner and sleeping in full sized bed (instead of a King or Queen) this may be too big as well. It really is a massive desk.2) Arm support is nice but not as comfortable as I imagined. I have a couple of laptop desks for the bed. However, when I am laying in bed while using a smaller lap desk, there is no support for my arm. This does have fairly large areas to rest one’s arm. However, it may be the way I am using the desk but it’s not very comfortable. I had to wrap my comforter around the arm rest. I think this is probably suitable for folks who plan to use this while sitting on the couch or while actually sitting completely up in bed. I have an adjustable bed frame. Hence, I use this while laying down but not completely flat. Therefore, the way in which my arm rests agains the table is not very comfortable in this position.3) This is GREAT for an adjustable bed frame. The true reason, I decided to look for soft-style desk, I wanted a tablet/laptop table that works with my adjustable bed frame. My hard tables with foldable legs do not sit correctly on the bed when the foot is raised (which is all the time). Therefore, I wanted more flexible desk. Problem solved – there is no leaning food with this table. I can sit my takeout boxes on there and it seems to work fine.4) I have another lap table, which is perfect for using my table. However, my arm is uncomfortable as there is no arm support. As I noted above the arm support leaves a lot to be desired comfort wise while laying in bed and using a tablet. I think this is also a fail when it comes to using a tablet, which is the main thing that I use while laying back in bed watching TV. While I am not laying completely down, I am not sitting up either. Therefore, because there is no ledge to lift up the tablet, I cannot see it if it is laying flat on the desk. Therefore, I end up laying the tablet on my stomach with it leaned up against the this table, which is not the best position.But I think for folks who will be using their laptop in bed and sitting completely up then this should work with the few caveats mentioned above. I recommend this project. I will have to see if it holds up or begins to sag.
