Yellow Key Version Perfect For Sound And Quality
I have tried both the green keyed and yellow keyed version of this keyboard; I ended up returning the green keyed one because it was obnoxiously loud when typing, and despite the yellow keyed saying it’s silent, it’s not quite silent but quiet enough that I’m happy with it.It is a little awkward having the additional macro keys on the far left, very used to esc being top left key so I’m going to have to get used to that.Keys are vibrant and I’m really impressed with the color display; works great with SignalRGB for synchronization between other RGB devices. The wrist pad that comes with it feels great, it’s some sort of gel inside with a very soft leather like surface. It feels solid as well and each key acts independently from the others next to it.I feel bad for others with the issues they described with double typing and such, but the like new version I got doesn’t have those issues yet.

What a downgrade from the V2!
I’ve been a Razer Blackwidow fan for going on 15 years. My first Blackwidow V1 had a wire harness issue and had to be replaced. I replaced it with the V2 a good 7 years ago. My Blackwidow V2 finally fell victim to that same harness issue and I decided to get another one. Seeing this model available, I figured I’d give it a shot. Wow, what a disappointment in comparison to my awesome V2!First, the positives. There is only one USB end to plug in instead of 2 like with the V1 and V2. That USB cable is also thinner and more manageable. The LEDs are very bright. The plastic still seems to be of decent quality, and the keys have that same wonderful clicky response.Now.. the negatives.. oh boy. First, my V2 is beefy. Large, heavy, and substantial, and I like that. This V4 feels flimsy by comparison. That isn’t to say it actually is flimsy, but it does not feel as beefy as the V2 by any means.Next, the keys are all protruding from the keyboard instead of sunken into it like with the V2. This means there is no surface on the front of the keyboard to rest my hands like there was with the V2.. if you try to rest your hands there, you will inadvertently press keys you don’t want to press. This is already causing my hands to hurt as I have to kind of hover them there.Third, because the keys are not sunken into the keyboard, the LEDs are all completely exposed. While this may look cool, it is also too bright, and all of that extra light gets distracting. I miss the cool effect of my V2, where they keys just glowed with whatever letter was appropriate. And, with all of that extra light, they didn’t even bother making the “locks” functions representative in any way.. they are just little white dots instead of a “C” or “1” or something like the old version.Fourth, there are no longer any extra surfaces around the keyboard.. anywhere.. it’s like there was a plastic shortage or something. This makes it extremely difficult to pick the keyboard up, as the only places to put your fingers or thumbs are right next to keys you likely don’t want to press. Additionally, all of the edges on this thing are SHARP.. it is actually uncomfortable, bordering on painful to pick this thing up with one hand. I have never, in all my 30+ years working with computers picked up a keyboard that was as uncomfortable to handle as this thing. It actually feels unfinished, like it is a component that is supposed to fit into a larger case or something.Finally.. the USB cable connects in the back of the keyboard using a USB-C connection. While this may seem convenient, I can already tell there is some levering going on there that is likely to wear that connection out over time. This connection should have been either a directly wired connection or one with an adapter that securely fastens it (sort of like the Naga clip-in cable)And that’s just the physical issues with this keyboard. I haven’t even used the multimedia functions yet.In all, I am extremely disappointed with this incredible downgrade from my V2 to this V4. I will not be purchasing another Blackwidow. I’ll still likely choose Razer for my Deathadder mice, but I’ll be shopping around for keyboards in the future. I may actually just find a good replacement immediately and toss this junk in the trash.

Great quality and comfortable to use!
I absolutely love this keyboard! The keys feel very responsive and have a satisfying click without being too loud. It’s incredibly comfortable to type on for long periods, and the build quality feels solid and durable. I also appreciate the sleek design that fits perfectly with my workspace. Overall, it’s a great value for the price and has definitely improved my typing experience. Highly recommend it!

Love this keyboard
Keyboard is going on 2 years strong. All the keys are still in great condition along with the rest pad. The only issue I ever had was the space bar not really sounding the best but still sounds good. I would recommend if you want a quality keyboard.

Keyboard has become unusable in 2 months
I’m leaving the typos in to show how annoying this really iss. I had a BlackWidow V2 for years, it was flawless and only started breaking because I sspilled a few things on it over the years. The V3 didn’t come with a plush wrist rest so I decided against buying that, but the V4 came out sshortly after I started looking and it did have a plush wrist rest so I decided to cave and buy it on a sale.I saw a few negative reviews saying that ssome people were having issues with it double-pressing letters (keyboard chatter), but decided that since people tend to review more often when they’re uspsset with a product and there were so many 5-stars, I would take the risk anyways. At first the thing was great, but about a month in I began to see the “s” key start to hit twice on the same press when typing, but it didn’t do anything when playing gamess so I decided to leave it be and see if it got any better. It’s only gotten worse since then. Not only does it double-press (mostly on “s”, but every once in a while it does on a few other letters) but now the “s” key barely function when playing games whatsoever. If it was another key on the board I could work around it but the “s” key is sso important that I can basically no longer play games where I need to walk backwards. Half the time I hit the button, nothing happens in any game. This has made the keyboard basically useless for me, and it’s incredibly frustrating.I have never been so disappointed with a product I’ve purchased in my life. There was clearly no quality testing at all because this is not a rare problem. I’m in the process of talking with Razer and I assume they’ll send me another one of the same kind, so I will update this review a while after the new one comes in. I found a thread on a forum where someone said they had the same issue and Razer sent them another keyboard that had the same exact issue, so I don’t have high hopes.I do not whatssoever recommend buying this product. If you are dead-set on picking it up, make sure you get the extended warranty, but it’s more than likely you’ll have issues far before the default 1-year warranty is up anyways.Edit: I got my replacement keyboard a few months ago, and it had the same exact problem. Different keys were double-pressing this time, but it was even worse than the first one overall. Razer did allow me to trade this second one in for a more expensive Huntsman V2 at no cost, which was nice of them, but truthfully it was the least they could do for me at that point. I have had slight issues with the Huntsman V2 so far but unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed those problems, unlike the previous two keyboards. I strongly recommend never purchasing this product, Razer’s support has been great but I will never be purchasing one of their products again because it took me 6 months to get a (mostly) working keyboard after purchase.

Some switches will stop working after a while. At first everytime I would write the letter “m” it would type twice. Now it stops writting. My “s” now also has the same issue and “a” is starting to do the same thing. I’ve had the keyboard for 3 months. The issue started barely after a month. Do a quick google search and you see that a lot of people have this issue. 25% of reviews on this keyboard is exactly that.

Empezo a teclear doble por tecleo y es bastante molesto estarlo corrigiendo a cada rato. Al menos el teclado esta bonito.

Within 6 months I started having double clicking issues. I could ignore it when it was the numpad “9” key, but now it’s the spacebar. You can imagine how utterly annoying that is.Read online that this is due to oxidation on the mechanical key switch, and spraying WD-40 into the key (not the board, into the mechanical key itself) will mitigate the issue. It has, but it’s still annoying, and now it’s started happening with a lot of other keys as well.Otherwise, it’s not a bad keyboard (feels good to use, when it worked it was great, etc.), but it’s clear that Razer build quality is not what it used to be.Buyer, beware.

The key pads are 11mm wide, while the average keypad size is 12 or 13. It’s been a struggle to teach my fingers where the keys are. It’s an incredibly well built keyboard, it’s hefty and feels very sold. I got the yellow keys which are smooth and easy. In hindsight the green may give more tactile feedback that the key was pressed, as the yellow has a such a smooth press, sometimes I’ll hold them a smidge too long. Colours of RGB are of course, excellent. Just based on the size of the keypads, I would not get this keyboard. It’s so well built I’m keeping it and will try to get used to the smaller keys, and will replace them if I can find a set that works and are the same quality. It also has a cable on the left hand side of the back, while most boas have it in the center. If you have a cable management plan, this side cable is awkward. Razer Synapse software is a little hit and miss, such as lighting profiles cannot be saved with a key profile, they’re two different saves and so if you want a solidification lighting profile with a key profile, you’ll have to change both every time. It’s a minor thing, but the wrist pad is really comfortable. Build quality is 5/5, however the smaller keypads and Synapse software cost two stars.
