    Great drone!
Amazing drone for the money. Quality is great. Very comparable to the DJI mini 4K. Footage looks good, pictures are not bad. Very stable and lots of features. I bought the fly more package and I think the only thing missing from the packed is an extra set of knows for the controller in case you lose them but they are cheap to purchase. The extra batteries are great and the charger is amazing! They all charge simultaneously and they charge in about 75 minutes. Something that no review on YouTube has is that the charger has an extra USB port to charge the controller as well. So you can charge the 3 batteries and the controller or 4 batteries all at the same time.

    Amazing first drone
This is my first drone and Im glad I went with this instead of something bigger and more expensive. This is the perfect platform to learn on and it is very easy to fly. Anything more powerful and I would probably get myself into trouble because Im new to drones. For 350 bucks this is a crazy good deal. 90 minutes of flight time is a lot and the whole package just feels extremely high quality. Nothing feels cheap at all. The camera takes very high quality video and pictures and is perfectly stabilized. Im definitely going to get my license because Im hooked and I want to use the footage for my videos and my business. I would hands down recommend this drone. I looked at every option in this price and category and this is the best deal.

What a little Angel of a Drone
LOVE This little guy, he’s got attitude, it’s fast, nimble, and confident. A little wind does not bother him at all. He just gets louder & yells at it. Wild little thing!!Amazing Mini-Drone. This drone has features found in many way more expensive drones. Love that it doesn’t require calibrating every time it takes off or lands AND the batteries support hot-swapping from the drone to the parallel charger. It’s deadly accurate on RTH, never misses the landing pad. The camera is awesome! Flying this in sport mode, with the camera in FPV mode, is a truly immersive experience All in All, this is an everyday go to camera drone that you can trust. The customer support is excellent as well. I had an issue with the gimbal & they went out of thier way to solve it.

    Awesome first drone!
This is the first drone that I have ever flown. I am completely impressed! There is a little setup learning curve but once you have that figured out it is not only simple, but it is fun and easy to fly. The 3 axis camera is super steady and has an incredible picture for a drone at this price point. If you can afford the extra $100 for the fly more kit, I would recommend it as you will get the carry bag and an extra battery along with a few other accessories. I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

Ehh, great basic drone unless there is wind
Wind is this drones downfall. Flew in 20mph winds and it was not happy at all. Definetly was doing its best with keeping the drone in place and camera stabilized. Video came out fairly smooth despite the winds. I was in a populated housing area with many sources of interferance, causing me to lose signal about 2000ft away, 200 ft high. Wish the fps of 4k was at least 60fps. You can tell its detailed, but moving around there are choppy moments. For some reason the drone started to lose height while flying foward with high winds. Lost about 150ft moving foward, ending up having to raise height in place to clear obstructions.Ive flown with less wind and it was a performer. Very responsive and agile. That being said, just dont fly this lightweight in windy conditions. Overall, control was still stable enough to recommend for beginners.Note, when switching modes(video, normal, sport) any video being recorded will be choppy for a few moments.

Novice to RC & Drones but want a little more than basic yet easy to learn? This might be the answer.
Relatively novice, this is my second drone. I began with a Holy Stone 175 which seemed like a nicely featured package for the price, but I found learning to control it well awkward- crashing a lot. Not disastrously- but rarely landed ‘on all fours’. Not something I’m heavy into, but these have become quite a nice “tool” to have if you want to get a bird’s eye view of your property, etc. So I began shopping for something with a bit more features and function which would hopefully both provide a better experience and be more user-friendly. In mind, I was mainly thinking about features such as automatic collision avoidance, which I soon found not especially available without a much higher price tag, and rarely found on drones that stay below the weight / size requiring FAA registration, etc. I was already familiar with many of the automatic path / auto-return type functions, but didn’t have the ability of auto-hover, which many now have and something you’ll find to be a real plus- the drone instantly holding it’s location and altitude at any time you’re not actively moving the controls. A higher level of wind resistance / compensation also a great feature that not only improves photo/video, it helps to keep you “in control” and not over-compensating in ways that will cause the novice to crash. Nearly all brand drones in this range touted having these functions, and for me the most frustrating aspect was that ALL of their ads barely provided more than a short bulleted list of functions, focusing almost entirely on hyped up videos with no real details that would help you make a good choice. I’d at first been leaning toward purchase of a DJI, which had great reviews until discovering that one thing they failed to disclose without some deeper investigation was that the DJI control was going to hound and pound you with advertising pop-ups in the midst of your fun unless you paid an extra fee to stop them. Who needs annoying ad hype getting in your face while trying to control drone flight? Don’t we get enough of that already?! That killed it for me with DJI- no way will I buy and support any product which goes after consumers like that. Probably the biggest factor that entered my final decision to go with the Potensic Atom was it’s wired control connection with the smartphone, instead of it’s relying on wi-fi link which I’d found to be pretty problematic with my first unit, even in areas where it shouldn’t have been a problem. And in my use so far, this has proven to really boost trouble-free connection with the drone, and fast, solid communication with it. The improved connection, and the basic flight stability of the Potensic has meant that now I’m not only flying more often, with further distances and for longer periods, I’ve done so without even coming close to having a single ‘crash’, landing both in auto and manually 100% so far. I’m still a little awkward with the controller, in that you really have to learn how to hold these things without accidentally having a finger activate or change a function that you didn’t mean to. With this one, today I accidentally pressed the power button and shut off the controller with the drone at 200 feet up and running low on power. Thankfully the auto-hover kept it in place while I powered back on, re-established connection with the drone and safely brought it down. Another great feature of the Potensic is the 3-axis gimbal camera. It provides incredibly steady and clear hi-res video. Long-life batteries offer flight times of as much as 30 minutes before need to return for a fresh battery, and the package that comes with 3 batteries, the soft carrying case and multi-charging accessory means you can put in a lot of time in the air before need to call it a day. A bit more initial cost, but worth it if you can spare the extra at buying time. Overall so far, I’m super-pleased with my purchase of the Potensic Atom (the Atom SE was actually said to be the right choice for the novice/beginner, but it fell short of some features I wanted, and the Atom hasn’t been tough to learn in the slightest.)

I am really impressed with this little thing. It is really easy to setup and start flying for a noob like me, and the controls are easy to pickup and get used to. The video quality on this here is pretty impressive too, especially considering the price. The footage is really stable, even when in `sport mode` and going pretty fast (like 20mph in winds) – and the gimbal is easy to control and get the shots that I want without thinking about it too hard. One thing I noticed is that in `auto` mode while filming, it can really blow out highlights if there is a lot of contrast, say with green trees and white sidewalk. Fortunately you can modify the the ISO and shutter speed to help combat this, but it isn’t always ideal since you only have so many flight minutes per battery. I’m hoping later firmware updates will help here, but I’m not holding my breath – and it isn’t really a big deal.Battery life is really respectable, I am impressed with how long this thing flies. In my tests its like 20 minutes before I land, but I tend to land with some battery left in case I see something else I want to film or fly over – so I don’t doubt the advertised 30 minute flight time (assuming the right conditions)The GPS is pretty good, and I quite like the autoreturn and autoland features, but I’ve gotten more comfortable doing both manually (its kind of fun) so I don’t use that as much now. But it works, and works pretty good.I don’t have any complaints, I really like this thing and look forward to flying it when ever I see a nice day out. It checked all my boxes too:- be a good price- have good and stable footage- have at least 20 minutes of flight time per chargeI didn’t try any of the intelligent flight modes, and I’m not really super interested in them – but if I do try them I’ll update this review with additional information on what I think about them. But overall: this is a great drone, I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat.

Great value, takes fantastic pics and videos. My first drone and it’s easy to fly, great stability.Charges the 3 batteries simultaneously unlike my sons DJI which charges one at a time. The app is great, follow me works well. I love the quick shots function.Controller is solid and great to use, everything is laid out really well.Recommended

After watching all the videos online and reading all the positive comments I decided to try this Potensic ATOM 3-Axis Gimbal 4K GPS, Under 249g, 96 Mins Flight Time, Drone. It looked really good and flew great the first few times. I was really happy. No problem.. I had 21 satellites and it was flying in the GPS Mode.. But after a few take offs and landings, when I launched the drone, it would not hover., it started to wander side by side. I launched it about a dozen times and the same thing happened… It did not hover.. I installed the app again and started all over again, re-setting the compass and rebooting the drone and the remote.. When launching the drone again, it lifted off the pad fine but still wouldn’t hover… I still had 21 satellites in the GPS mode and there was no wind blowing at all.. Calm as ever. This drone has a problem.. I was afraid to take it higher than 8 feet since it started to wonder around and I couldn’t control it and I had to land it… So, I got a bad one.. After reading lots of negative reviews online, I know what they are talking about.. Mine was acting similar to what others were experiencing. I am really afraid of trying another one since I will probably get another bad one, so I boxed it up and I returned it. I am not happy with the performance of it at all.. I have a half a dozen holy stone drones and none of them every acted this way, and most of them have the GPS feature, but none of them have a gimbal camera system, and the photos and videos are horrible. I wanted this new one for is the 3-axis gimbal feature as it make the videos look amazing.. I take lots of videos and photos. I am not a newbie and know how to fly drones, it is just that this one didn’t want to fly for me.. I got a bad one and I am not pleased about that and that is why I returned it. Now I have to wait for 16 days to get my money refunded, how crazy is that?—–Update: September 5th, 2024Since there were too many positive comments and videos on this drone, I just knew I had got a bad one, I decided to try another, so I ordered and received a new Potensic ATOM., which I am currently testing now.. This new one seems to be working great and it hovers very well., no deviation at all in the wind at about 8 mph.. I have made a few videos with it so far. Several times, I took it up to 30 meters, yawed it 360 degrees from right to left , stopping frequently and then landed it., and so far everything looks very good… I will be testing it out daily. (weather permitting. ) There are a lot of features about it that I don’t need, but for the most part everything looks good.. The 4K videos are stunningly beautiful and there was no lag or jerkiness in them at all.. I have a few things yet to test out, including the RTH feature and how to set the parameters in the app. So far, so good…—–Update: September 6th,2024I have uploaded a video to show how stable this ATOM will hover and return to home… I took the drone up to 50 meters and yawed it around 360 degrees and then landed it using the RTH feature.. It worked flawless. Wind was about 6 – 8 mph at the time.. The quality of the original 4K video is wonderful. This uploaded version has been crunched down to 1080p at less than 280mb so as I could upload to Amazon easily. All in all, I am still testing the drone and will post more information in the coming days.. So far, I am very happy with this ATOM and how stable it is.. So, would I buy another? Yes, without hesitation.

Brilliant little drone that has exceeded my expectations. When I first opened the box I thought how small the drone was. Not expecting much, I got it up and running and was really surprised at the stability and picture quality. It really is so easy to fly and the added bonus is if you get into trouble you just tell it to return home by itself.I think the instructions could do with better explanations. The tutorial videos are good but don’t fully explain what the different settings do. Trial and error will probably resolve this in time.Aside from that, there is nothing to dislike.I did have an issue with headless mode. (Look it up if, like me, you had no idea what it is) The tutorial video mentioned it but I couldn’t find a setting in the app. After contacting Potensic support, who i have to say are excellent, they said that due to patent infringment they could no longer support this function. They apologised profusely and sent me a spare set of blades for my inconvenience. They seem to be a company who really want to stand out in terms of customer service and they really wanted to know where this mode was mentioned in the video so that the information could be corrected. There’s too much to mention about the drone’s capabilities. Look at the online reviews. I found them to be very useful in terms of finding out what the drone can do.Summing up. I don’t have any other drones so don’t know how this one compares. What I can say is that it totally impressed me with it’s flight stability, camera quality and battery life. I got the fly more set with 3 batteries which, personally, I think is worth it. Time will tell if I use it enough though. You feel comfortable flying it even after a few flights. If you go the wrong way, just take your hands off the controls and it will sit there rock solid until you regain your composure. Also rest assured that if you do encounter a problem or have a question, Potensic customer service will be there to support you. I think this is worthy of mention. My advice would be if having watched the various videos online, you think this is the right drone for you then go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

My first drone and a noobie as one can get. We are not delving too much into the details here as I feel one needs to do their research when determining what drone may work best for them. I read/watched oodles of reviews before coming to the conclusion the Potensic Atom would be best suited as my first drone.Overall super impressed with the fly more kit as everything looks and feels premium. Love the RC and its formfactor as it feels so natural to use. The 60W charging hub that provides a quick-charge for 3 batteries at once, in 1.5 hours, is a big bonus. Included in the package is a very nice case to hold all the gear including the drone. So far I’ve had one “test” flight yet we were super impressed how things went for someone who’s green as one could be for novice drone pilot. Yes I was super nervous but shortly into the flight the drone’s “smart” features/abilities had me somewhat at ease. Never once did I feel the drone was out-of-control not even a smidgen. It’s the time of the year when wind gusts where I live can get a bit excessive, bummer cuz I’m really looking forward to another flight… Once we have more flight time under our belt I’m sure we’ll feel much more comfortable flying it in the wind, but until then we’ll just need to remain patient.I flew in lighting conditions that were less than optimal so there was a fair amount of grain in the video, no surprise as the reviews pointed that out. Even though, we were still very impressed the image quality and stability the 3-axes gimble provides. Definitely yearning for more now, yet those “nice” days are becoming far-n-few between so hopefully we don’t have to wait too long.Right now as of my review the Potensic Atom is discounted with an additional coupon that can be applied. Very good price in my opinion for something of this caliber. Also included in the package, for a limited time, is a 64GB Lexar MicroSD card. So other than providing a smartphone for the RC everything else is there to start flying A.S.A.P.
