Fun game – fast shipping
Game is not quite like port royale 1 & 2 but still very fun…Having to buy trade licenses and other stuff in every port that’s not your country is a bit of a pain tho 🤣🤣Naval battles just suck!!!

Great Game, but difficult to play on PS4
This product is not supported by its developer. However, though hard to find, there is a short overview book they will send if contacted. The number one thing the user needs to know, the pause button is the main pad, push to pause and release pause, swipe left to right to speed up. Had I known this going into the game would have saved a great deal of time. Though they release a separate DLC for pirating, the main game is NOT for those who want a pirating game. Indeed the game is an ECONOMIC SIMULATOR set in this time period. When pirates do appear, battle is difficult, you are out gunned most times, and would be better just to allow them to plunder your trade route. Good luck. Some like this kind of game play, however, this is not Civilization, nor other similar titles, and the game play can become quite involved. IF you are looking to play a pirate game, there are other titles.

If economic strategy is your thing
This game is definitely for a niche gamer who enjoys strategy and tycoon style games. The gameplay is challenging and rewarding. Didn’t like the “fame points” feature though. Made it very annoying, since they’re so hard to acquire in the game.

This is not Pirates, but close in some ways
This was recommended for PS4 as a comparison to the original Pirates game for Super Nintendo. This is not Pirates. It has some similarities, but revolves too much around trade. Example, you can start out playing the Spanish, seize and completely plunder Port Royal and by the next day Port Royal is rebuilt and you make less gold than if you just traded with Port Royal. The battle mechanism is cumbersome, at best. You can have a fleet of ships but only ONE ship can participate in combat at time. The only reason to even amass a fleet of ships to have more extensive trade routes.Piracy is not encouraged or even made fun with this game. Do not recommend as a comparison to Pirates but its fine if you want to play a Caribbean trading game. Would be nice if they gave indicators what the trade good icons meant without having to look them up all the time. The trading is not that intuitive. Would not purchase again.

if you are looking for the classic game this is not it
Didn’t like that they changed the game so much from what was so great about it

Very good game
It’s not quite what I expected, I was expecting something similar to Assassin’s Creed black flag. However I like it a lot and I don’t plan on returning it very nice.

It’s a fun game. A bit clunky regarding actions and finding the info you want initially but the more you play the easier it gets. Remember to finish Viceroy requests or you will be sent home to the Old country and have to start a whole new game. Ask me how I know. Lol.

Started it and put it away for awhile. Loved the third. The map is the exact same. But they added currents and wind and hurricanes so you have to plan around currents for time or lose money. They did re do the battle sequences it’s so many moves per turn move ship to hexagon style and there’s more involved with different characters and playing for each of the four major countries. Nothing wrong with the seller as far as I know. Very time involved and requires mental concentration and planning.
