Most impressive PS gen-to-gen yet.
I’ve owned every PS generation (1 – 5) within a year of release since the PS1 came out. I don’t see that changing anytime soon if Sony continues to have the best controller, best exclusives, and gamer focused has it has since PS1.Of the gen jumps (PS1 to 2, PS2 to 3, PS3 to 4, and PS4 to 5, this jump from PS4 to PS5 is, to me, the most impressive gen-up of the group. The PS5 graphics just look amazing for a console, and it loads huge games so fast. I’m so appreciative and fortunate to be able to have my PS5 Slim Console. Love it, love the new PS5 controller shape, and their familiar horizontally aligned analog thumb sticks. and will continue to be a Playstation supporter because of the exclusives, their console and gamer focus, and their dedication and focused approach to their console market.Will XBox be a thing in another 10 years? I don’t know with the way Microsoft has hinted in the last few years. Personally, I hope they stick with it and push Sony to compete. It’s better for all of us who play on a console, regardless of preference.Sony seems fully dedicated to their console’s future. Something to consider for sure if looking for a current gen console (XBox or Sony)

Great Value!
The PlayStation 5, or PS5 bundle with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a great value product. It comes with the console, all the cables you need, a controller, and a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to play with. The console is backward compatible with all PS4 games, so if you don’t own many PS5 games, don’t worry, you can play your old games as well.The feel of the console feels premium, and the included stand to prop it vertically was easy to insert into the proper slots. I wish it came with a vertical stand as well, but that’s just a minor nitpick. If you want to stand it up vertically, you’d need to buy a separate stand for that.The PS5 Slim is also remarkably smaller than the PS4 Pro that I own and is much quieter in comparison besides the startup sound of the disk drive when you first boot it up with a disc in either from standby mode or from off.The controller is bigger ergonomically than the original PS4 controller but doesn’t feel bad. The controller is shaped in a way that even those with smaller hands can feel comfortable holding. The adaptive triggers take some getting used to, but feel fine for the most part.Overall, I highly recommend the PS5 Slim.

Long time coming, but I’ve finally got one and it’s all I hoped for
By pure accident, this arrived 8 years to the day after I bought my PS4.8 years is a pretty good run for a console, but I figured it was time to upgrade, and I’ve been quite pleased with the results.Up front, the bad: the slim has a bit more storage than the “fat” PS5 but I worry that I’ll quickly run out of space. And that’s it. That’s the extent of my cons list.The good: outrageously quicker load times. I’ve been playing a lot of Fallout 76. On my PS4, it would routinely take upwards of 45 seconds to “fast” travel. I got in the habit of grabbing the phone and scrolling social media while it loaded. On the PS5, it’s more like 10 seconds, tops. Usually much less.I’ve also been playing the new(ish) God of War and load times are almost immediate. It’s uncanny.I’ve got an older TV (probably 2012) and even still, the graphics are a significant step forward.Ultimately, it’s everything I loved about my PS4, except better. There’s not a single area where I feel like they took a step back except in storage…I had a 1 TB Black Ops 3 edition and would have liked the PS5 to beat that without resorting to aftermarket help.Otherwise, the controller feels better in my hands and has some cool bells and whistles (integrated mic, multi-function giant button, etc.), the load times are vastly improved with the SSD, and the games look better and run better.

Would agree that it is better than an Xbox so far, my Xbox is the new Xbox series x and I have had the series s too and I know that the PlayStation has better graphics on my Xbox it kicks me off of my games and so far I have had no problem with the PlayStation the only thing is that the updates and downloads take a while but that is what you get with better quality

Bought over a year ago and figured I would do a review after a bit of time. This is a great buy and works great. No issues and use it daily. Very happy. I bought a holder/ fan which also helps prolong the life of the system. Very fun and good value. Shipped great and works awesome
