This drive was very easy to install and has everything to do a complete job. Now have double the storage space and everything works as it should. This will solve your smaller HD capacity problem and is well worth doing

What a great idea!
There have been a lot of comments made about how this kit is perfect for less-than-technical users. Well, I am a techie, and I love this kit too. Truth be told, you could individually buy all of the components that OWC provides here (the 7200 RPM 2TB upgrade drive, the 8GB flash drive, the USB 3.0 enclosure, and the screwdriver) for less than what this kit costs, and you may already have some of this stuff lying around the house. But in this day and age, there’s also the very real question of how much your time is worth, and from my perspective it was very helpful to have all of these tools conveniently packaged together.In retrospect, it seems like a fairly obvious idea to sell one combined package that contains everything that you need to upgrade your PS4’s storage capacity. But obvious or not, it’s also a great idea, and it’s one that OWC has pulled off very efficiently. The kit ships in a nondescript and deceptively small cardboard box. It comes with a succinct single sheet of instructions that walks you through the upgrade process in four main steps:1) Back up your savegame data onto the USB drive (provided with the bundle)2) Physically replace the stock hard drive with the upgrade drive (using the provided screwdriver)3) Download and install the latest PS4 system software using the provided USB drive4) Restore your savegame data to the new drive, and reinstall your gamesThere are some annoyances associated with this process, but these are primarily due to Sony’s PS4 system software. For example, it would be great if there was some way to mass export all of your samegame data to the USB drive, but (at the time of this writing, anyway) the only way to do this is to copy each game’s data individually. If you have data from a lot of games, this can be a tedious process (and the same observation applies when you restore the data to your new drive.) Again, this tedium is entirely a consequence of the PS4’s system software and has nothing to do with the OWC upgrade kit.In the final analysis, it took me about 30 minutes to back up my savegame data, replace the drive, download the PS4 system software, install it on the new drive, and get the system back up and running. Most of my games were digital purchases from the PlayStation store, so I just queued them up for re-download overnight. Note: If you’re a PS Plus member, you also have the option of just restoring your savegame data from online backup. I chose to use the USB drive method anyway, just to get another copy of my savegame data. (What can I say? I’m neurotic.)The provided 2.5″ USB 3 drive enclosure (and cable) will also come in very handy. It works well, looks nice, and gives you something to do with your old hard drive instead of having it collecting dust on a shelf somewhere.To summarize, this is an excellent upgrade kit. The instructions are clear and accurate, the process is painless, and (so far, anyway) it’s been functioning flawlessly. I now have enough free space on my PS4 to last for a long time without having to worry about deleting old games just to make room for new ones. I’d highly recommend this product to anybody that’s running short of space on their gaming console.
