My kids love this game
Really fun game! We love to play this as a family of four and when the kids have friends over, it always seems to come out. The magnets are very strong… so strong if you even get them near the board, the magnets “look at you” as my kids like to put it. The game can cause a little anxiety and my daughter usually rage quits because she can’t slow down. I would say it’s a good patience teacher and is really easy to pick up.

Fun, but not exactly mind-boggling
I would rather give this a 3.5 rating. The quality of the pieces and board was fine. But I was hoping for an easier version of chess to train my kiddos into thinking moves ahead. Unfortunately, it did not take them long to figure out the minimum spaces between the magnet balls to prevent them from coming together. So the game just became who’s the unlucky person whose turn falls on the turn that runs out of safe spots (we figured that out pretty quickly too). So the chess part only fun for half a day… but the magnets are getting lots of other uses, lol.

Fun game for two
I bought this for a Christmas gift for my 11 year old son. We enjoy playing it together after dinner. I like that he enjoys playing with me (versus going on his game console). It’s a fun little game.

A lot of fun and laughs.
Played this with a group of adult ladies. We were laughing most of the time! I can’t imagine how you might get all the magnets on the board. Impossible. I think it could be frustrating and hard for younger children (under 12). When I do play with grandchildren, we will just use a couple of magnets each. I recommend if you want to laugh at how impossible it is!
