Works Well With Linux
Moving from a vintage 2012 23″ IPS monitor to a modern 27″ 4K display has made a world of difference. I couldn’t be happier with the screen quality and presentation. Since many reviews already cover video performance, I’ll focus on my specific use case: running Ubuntu Linux 24.04 on a System76 Meerkat.Right away, I encountered an issue that I initially misunderstood. When using Fractional Scaling, my mouse became laggy, jerky, and completely unusable. I mistakenly assumed this was a CPU capacity problem, but that diagnosis was entirely wrong.The real cause of my lagging mouse was my old keyboard/mouse combo, which relied on a USB dongle. It seems that this setup couldn’t keep up with the increased pixel content. After switching to a Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s, the lag disappeared completely.One tradeoff I faced was with the monitor stand. To use the included stand, I had to give up mounting my computer on the back of the monitor. However, I found a great alternative: the ElecGear iNUC-K Vertical Stand, which turned out to be even better than expected. Now, my USB ports are more accessible.An unexpected bonus is the sturdiness of the included stand—it’s impressively stable!

Perfect monitor for reading small text clearly.
Exceptionally clear, sharp text. I purchased this monitor to use with my MINI MAC. When I purchased my mini-Mac, I thought that I could use a television that I wasn’t using anymore. I was wrong! The TV picture was okay for watching movies, but the text was terrible. So, I purchased this 27” monitor. Setup was very easy. I can see every character perfectly and it makes typing, or using spreadsheets a dream. I am very happy with this purchase.
