So it had to happen to someone right? No hard drive installed…
Update: I received a replacement laptop and have had it about 4 months now and I absolutely LOVE it!! Runs WoW on Ultra perfectly. So glad I purchased this!!What can I say about this laptop? I don’t know… I couldn’t get past the boot menu. So… I’ve been wanting to build a gaming pc. Bought all the parts actually and have just been waiting to buy a video card. As those are not available anytime soon, I decided to buy a low-mid grade gaming laptop to replace my currently barely hanging on gaming laptop and a second personal laptop. Found this beauty and met all the specs.Purchased the machine on 20March. Wasn’t expected until 26March but it arrived early on 24Mar. Yay me! Plug it in, let it charge for a little bit, turn it on. Now the fun starts. Beautiful back-lit blue lights light up, screen turns on “Checking media….” Then I get the lovely message “Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed” I hit okay. “Checking media….” “Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed”. Hit okay again, we go through this about 5 more times. “Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed. Insert Recovery Media and hit any key. Then Select ‘Boot Manager’ to choose a new Boot Device or to Boot Recovery Media. I’d like to share that I’m usually pretty calm and have a level head when these things happen, so not upset at this point yet. I select the Boot option that’s there, and I go through the same error messages again. What do I do, naturally I hit up Google. See a few common hits for this. Follow the suggested steps, doesn’t work. Call Lenova support. It is 750ish EST at this time. Start to get a weeeeee bit rattled going through their automated “Press Button 1” to get to the right place. But I do, deep breath, all good. At 8pm EST, I get disconnected. Try to call back. No going through much of the automated stuff at this point because I get the message that they are closed and it is after the hours their techs answer the phone. I’m still okay at this point. In the box, is this “Legion Ultimate Support” flyer for me to upgrade my customer support and I contact that online which takes me to a chat with a live agent. That’s okay, I’m a millennial, I’m stereotyped at preferring chat over the phone. (I’ll be honest, it’s true for me.) Tell Wilma what’s going on. Have to send my messages a couple of times, but I’m still okay and maintaining a level head. I’m messaging a friend at this point and he says “OMG, did they forget to install your windows!” “NO WAY” I think. Finally get to the BIOS Setup window as directed. There is a preinstalled license for Windows. See, my friend was wrong, they didn’t forget to install Windows! But ya’ll… here’s the kicker….. “Hard Disk: [Not Detected]. That’s when I lose it. HAHAHA, I can laugh now. How is there windows installed where there’s no hard drive! Or SSD, w/e.The tech says, “not detected anymore”. And I said… “I just turned the thing on and got this error. I don’t think it was ever detected”. That “anymore” really got to me ya’ll. 🙂 So he says I have to send it to Lenova for a repair. I say no, I just got it, send me a replacement. He can’t do that. Have to contact Amazon. So I contact Amazon. Daniel was very helpful, truly, nothing negative to say about him. Because this was purchased from a third party, he had to email them, and we have to wait 2 days for them to respond with if they’ll offer return… and if they do, if they’ll just refund or send me a replacement. That’s my story ya’ll. I’ll update as soon as I actually know if this is a good product or not. But right now, it fails!

Excellent gaming machine.
Bought for my birthday in Feb 2020 for $820. The 1650 graphics card, 512 SSD and 16GB of ram were main selling points.Originally was going to buy something with a ‘1660 Ti’ or better graphics card but kept reading about these machines running very hot and noisy due to fans working hard to keep cool Someone recommended that you wear headphones for these noisy machines. How stupid. The Lenovo L340 is quiet, fast, nice lit keyboard, nice professional looking case.Get one before prices get higher or run out of stock.

Battery Backup is not good for normal use too. Less than 3-4 hrs
Looks perfect for gaming, processor or any other. I found issues with only early battery drainage issues.

It was nice while it lasted…
At first, I was relatively satisfied with this laptop. It had good specs for the price and should’ve been a step up from my ten year old macbook. My only real complaints were that the trackpad felt cheap and the battery life was garbage (lasted about 3 hours in battery-save mode, primarily used for basic tasks like word processor and Youtube). Then came the real problem. I haven’t even had this laptop 6 months. After it crashed unexpectedly the other day, it now won’t turn on without being plugged in and can’t hold a charge at all. The battery reads 0% no matter how long it’s plugged in.It’s a shame. As long as it took me to get accustomed to Windows, I ended up really liking this Lenovo. If it had lasted 2 years, it might’ve been worth the price. For now, I’m stuck on my decade old mac again.

Great Gaming Laptop
For the price, this is definitely a pretty great machine. I’m a hardcore gamer and runs pretty much mostly what I wanted it for. This laptop can run games such as Path of Exile, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, The Outer Worlds, and more. Definitely worth every penny. Very easy to set up, and very quick start up times. Great buy.

Great, after you install a fresh copy of windows WITHOUT Lenovo bloatware.
It works great once you install a fresh copy of windows without the bloatware. There is no use to the Lenovo software, and it is a resource hog, so ignore all prompts to download and you are good to go.the space is a little light but I can upgrade if need be. Other than that, it is a great machine for the price (especially after the fresh windows install).

Love it!
I’ve had this laptop for about a month now and it’s been wonderful! I’m not really a computer person, so I couldn’t tell you all the fine details, but it runs all the games I want it to like a dream, the screen is gorgeous, and it’s less bulky than my old gaming laptop. I love it!

Mouse track is to rough and not to sensitive to touch
Mouse track is to rough and not to sensitive to touch. I was very use to my Mac but still any other laptop may have a better mouse track quality than this one. The rest besides this only thing I guess is just ok. But Nothing super special for the money these cost. I would not buy another one.
