    Excellent keyboard, extreme value
I’ve been on the hunt for the “perfect” keyboard, and this is about as close as I can get. Out of the box, typing is comfortable and moderately quiet. Not silent like a membrane, but quiet enough that it can be used in a typical office environment without disturbing your neighbors. The typing feel with the default switches is as expected. No bounce or pushback whatsoever. I can live without the RGB lighting, but it’s easy enough to turn off.The keycap font is interesting without having that “xXxTr3M3 g4m3R” look that has become so common among mechanical keyboards. The overall feel is solid. This seems like it’s going to last a long while.I would love to have seen a USB 3.x hub on here. It’s not advertised in the product listing, so I’m not complaining. But they’re incredibly useful and sadly becoming increasingly rare on keyboards. Adding one would make this keyboard absolutely unsinkable. Also, when I first installed the keyboard, I noticed the “Alt / Cmd” and “Win / Opt” keys were flipped. Apparently the keyboard ships in Mac mode. Hitting Fn-S will put the keyboard into Windows mode and immediately solve this problem. Both of these extremely minor complaints are eclipsed by the price of this keyboard. You can find a better keyboard, but nowhere near this price. And you can find a cheaper keyboard, but it won’t be nearly this good. Long story short, this is the keyboard you want.

    Great platform for the dollar!
While this keyboard is far from perfect, it is a great platform to mod. Hotswap switches and a rock solid full sized chassis for under $30, sometimes on sale for as low as $25! Now, out of the box, it is nothing all that special, the brown switches are mushy, the keycaps are ok, but a little thin. I replaced the switches with some Kailh Yellows, lubed them and modded the stabs, swapped out for nicer caps and added some foam under the back plate and now the keyboard is giving me the perfect “thock” I look for. I may buy a few more of this board while it is on sale to have some backups.

Very nice mechanical keyboard for the money!
I have the brown switch unit. The feel is great. Only real nitpicks are: some of the letters, the colon/semicolon and apostrophe/quotation and special characters like @$%& keys are real difficult to see because of strangely shaped gaps in the fonts. The other issue is the printed directions to set up colours and the like is in a tiny font, like a 1. I used a copier to blow it up and used magnifier glasses to read some of it. I like backlit keys because of vision issues. Although the RGB LEDS are pretty, I really just need all keys lit the same colour(NOT blue. Research what blue light does to night vision and circadian rhythms). I’m not a gamer.I was able to play around for a few minutes and discover how to make the colours of light monochromatic. The programming of various keys and functions is still a mystery to me. The quality of the keyboard is great for less than $30. I might try to find a set of keycaps with large plain font ? The switch quality feels amazing after years of yucky membrane keys. Even though I chose the quiet brown switches, it is louder than the membrane keyboard I had previously. But not obnoxiously so.

    Very inexpensive and very functional
This was $22 after tax with the 25% (as of the time of writing this) coupon. Even if you pulled every keycap and replaced all the switches with Gaterons, you’d still be under $50 for a fully rebuilt mechanical keyboard. The keyboard comes with instructions, a keycap and switch puller, and 6 “test” switches (2x red, 2x brown, 2x blue). They switch brand on the test switches was Jixian, which while I haven’t pulled a key and looked on the keyboard, I would assume is the brand for the switches on the board.I am not a mech keyboard purist/nerd/zealot, so this is not only a great keyboard for me, but also something I could modify in the future with new switches or caps. Great keyboard, very happy I took a chance on it.I don’t specifically care about the different RGB settings, which while extensive and fun, isn’t the reason I chose this. I would say I think it’s pretty wild you can get a mech keyboard with this many features for so little. My only gripe would be that the keycap font isn’t great, but doesn’t inhibit usage at all.

Wow bin sehr überrascht fühlt sich sehr wertig an und klingt mit den Braunen Schaltern sehr gut an.

  7. Amazon reviewer

After owning the keyboard for about 2 weeks from writing this review its got a lot going for it and honestly might be the best $30 keyboard (at the time of writing the review) I’ve ever purchased.I got the brown switch model for the tactile experience as i’ve owned a red switch and a blue switch keyboard. The blue switch will have a really loud and distinct clicky feel, the reds have a smooth, quiet linear feel and the brown switch is the same volume as the red switch however they have a feedback-like bump to let the user know they have pushed a switch. This keyboard is not a wireless keyboard it must have a wired USB-C connection for it to work but I wouldn’t expect the keyboard to be wireless at this price point. Its base appears to be built out of a metal, probably alluminum. The keyboard itself doesn’t come with any foam to dampen the sound however I have used foam of my own to dampen the sound and it does wonders to the overall typing experience. Modifying the keyboard is easy however the pegs where the screws meet the bottom plate and the pcb are very fragile so be careful with that.I have replaced the keycaps aswell to Double-shot PBT keycaps i got from another source and they have changed the sound heavily aswell. The keyboard is great for modding and is a really good entry level keyboard for gaming or general use. I would highly reccommend this keyboard for the price.Black video for the sound testMods: – Fabric foam – Tape Under PCB
