You hope for the best and you get the worst
A killer emulator with two controllers and all the classic games… what’s not to love?Well… It just didn’t work from the start and things became worse from there.Never could get a second player to work on any game. If so, why two controllers and two USB Bluetooth transmitters? Worked for hours to try to link a second controller. No go.Tried using a USB keyboard to adjust controller settings… since, without a controller there is nothing you can do. Try finding the “Select” or “start” key on your keyboard. My tech savvy son gave up too.During this process, I somehow disabled the ability to start any game. Huh? All I did was try to setup a controller. Attempts to enable all the different buttons on a controller failed.No power button?!??!?!? How do I turn it on? Oh, classic. Unplug it and plug it back in.Finally… Factory Reset. Appropriately named “Danger Zone”. Yep, bricked the console. I’ve had more hours trying to get thing to work than actually playing games.I’m sad about the system not working. At least I have an SD with a package of ROMs and Emulators.Other thoughts:I actually have some good things to say… yet…but…however:Compact, low power, and silent. How something this powerful is silent is amazing. But… it is goofy looking.Huge selection of games, but…. a lot of duplicates and versions that are provided both as PAL and NTSC. If you are a archival purist and want every release of a game this ROM set is for you. Kudos to providing a large offering of games, yet, calling the offering 60,000+ games is misleading. Having the same game in 27 different versions is nuts.Two controllers, however, eh…. you know.A confusing amount of options and no literature.Why are there so many amazing options yet not the ability to have two controllers? Didn’t work on even the Atari 2600!Even the emulation community seems to feel that… well you get what you pay for and you don’t know how to run emulation. Yes, that’s right, I don’t want to know how to run emulation. I want something plug and play.My credentials: I know enough about emulation. I own a Tankstick from X-Arcade which I use to run games on a hacked original Xbox that is ~22 years old. That still works with 90% of what I want. Guess I’ll stick with that. I was hoping for an HDMI connection and wireless controllers. Oh, I also setup running emulators on a spare PC with the Tankstick. That worked perfectly until a Windows update somehow caused it to stop. New front end, config changes, no luck. My tech savvy son thought it would be simple. We both gave.Anyway, my dream will have to wait until Kinhank X27 Pro Plus Double Double Brawndo Camacho.

Works great for watching TV or playing videogames!!
Cons: There’s a minor learning curve for customized settings (not necessary to customize) It never accurately recognized my wired controllers but I managed to find a workaround. But those are the only negatives. The positive is far outweigh the negatives. It’s a great piece of equipment. It works fantastic. Never had a problem. It’s almost always in use.You can switch between TV and video games. It installed every app I wanted. My card went out. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new card in the mail with an upgraded version!! 10/10

Be ready for anger.
Seems great when you first plug in… all your favorite games are here, plus tons you never got to play. They all seem to work just fine… but make sure you don’t start anything that will require a save. This thing loves to randomly delete your save states. Loosing all your progress in a game you’ve spent hours on is not fun.Plus the interface is glitchy. Different buttons do different things on different days. Just whatever it feels like. Sometimes you can’t get it to start up or read the controller. It’s always doing something weird or frustrating.I’m probably gonna trash this and try a different brand.

I was amazed at how well the games play. Every game that I tried works. So many games. Too many to ever play them all, but enough old games that I used to play to keep me occupied forever.

Don’t recommend. Spend the 400 dollars on the Asus rog ally. Just 300 more dollars and more features? No competition. Very sad I spent money on kinhank. Very poorly laser cut. Sad overall performance. 0 out of 0. E for effort, I guess they would say.
