Great portable monitor with a kickstand!
Great little monitor! I got this to pair with a mini keyboard and mini pc and its perfect, the kickstand on the monitor is really well built, the tension feels great! Its one of the main reasons i picked this one and it did not disappoint. No risk of it falling over, very sturdy and premium feeling.I like the portability of this monitor too, very easy to pack and is smaller than my laptop. It feels premium but also not too heavy which is nice, the kickstand again is solid!Ports are good, i just needed hdmi but theres vga for those who need it. It also has a headphone jack which is rare these days. This wont replace my main monitor but is a very nice travel / sensor panel / security camera monitor. Cant wait to find more uses for this little thing!

A Portable Display Unit
In looking for a display screen, there are a lot of choices, although tough to find. This one is of decent size and features. It is nice to have a decent size; something that is compact enough to travel with, and large enough to see easily. These can be used to test computers when an extra monitor is not available. They can be used as a screen for a teleprompter. I wanted it for all these. Making it more utilitarian was the VGA port. That’s just a thoughtful bonus. While being a touch screen is not important to me, having a built-in battery would have been. As there is no internal battery, it must be plugged into a power source. This leaves the question of brightness. It could have been brighter out of the box, especially since it requires plug-in power all the time.I like that it comes in a sturdy case. The external ports are all handily recessed at the left edge. The control buttons are recessed on the right edge. The huge drawback to this is the controls. The menu button is easy to figure, as is the power button. However, that’s the end of ease-of-use. The rest is weird and obtuse, and most certainly not intuitive. The cheap and tiny manual is worthless in this regard as well. A simple Back button might have fixed this, with the Up and Down buttons kept together. Even better is the idea of a rocker button for up/down/right/left/enter. As it is, one must memorize the order of button activation thru trial and error. By the time you need to use them again in the future, you will have forgotten. The manual makes some mention of an LED as having different color states. I saw no such LED at first, until I turned it over and found it by the control buttons. (There is plenty of room for it in the front.)I was able to plug it into a computer and get a display immediately. The options for resolution is somewhat limited. There are only two image ratios; wide and 4:3. No matter what resolution one chooses under wide, the display will stretch it side to side. The computer I used had a choice of 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. It didn’t matter; the display had to be set on wide to fill the screen.I think I must return because of low brightness, poor resolution choices and ease-of-use problems.

Good display
Pretty decent display and surprisingly very lightweight. Setup is pretty straightforward by connecting your video source. My kids use it for their nintendo switch and they love it. Could have been better if it has usb c input.

This Monitor DOES NOT have a VGA port as photo shows
This is the problem with sellers on Amazon. This device does not have a VGA port. My laptop has a VGA port so I can’t use this extra monitor as a second monitor.

I recently purchased this portable monitor and I’m very happy with its performance, especially considering the price. The screen quality is very good, with a full HD display that provides vibrant colors and sharp images.

Perfect
Works great as an extra monitor that doesn’t take up to much space.

Very nice 13.3″ monitor with one glaring flaw.
Update-the model I reviewed here appears to have been replaced. Kenowa itself wrote to me regarding this. THE NEWER VERSION HAS A BUILT-IN STAND, AND A SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT LAYOUT.Most of these 13.3″ (or even 15″) Kenowa monitors come with an adjustable wire stand which are supposed allow it to be positioned at various angles. However, this manufacturer pays no attention at all to including the proper fitting stand. I had to purchase 5 of these in the last year, both new and used, in order to get 3 monitors with a stand which was correct. An incorrect one is not ‘deep’ enough to allow the monitor to be firmly held in it, so the monitor slips off at the slightest touch or vibration. (Mine were not touch monitors, but presumably the same problem applies.) This year, I needed some more (I really like the monitor itself!), and NOT ONE purchase included the correct stand. One box included no stand at all. I bought several separate stands on AMZ and those also were incorrect. Only one completely different style stand was usable.
