Handles my resource hungry tasks silently
When I opened the box, I found, besides the mini PC, a few accessories like a VESA mount (M3), a grounded AC adapter, a short HDMI cable, and a cable to add an additional hard drive, but I didn’t see any instructions on how to install the hard drive. When it came to the VESA mount, it included screws, but I noticed they were too small for my large-screen Google TV. It fit exactly on my 19-inch display, but when I wanted to mount it on my Google TV, I had to use larger screws to make it work.I measured the dimensions of the case myself, and they’re about 131 x 131 x 50 mm, or roughly 5 x 5 x 2 inches. The case is made of hard plastic and has a power button on the front left corner that lights up red when it’s turned on. On the front, I have two USB 3.0 ports, a Type-C port that handles both data and video signals, and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack that works with both microphones and headphones or speakers. On the back of the case, I found two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, a DisplayPort (DP), and two Ethernet ports – one for 1 Gbps and another for 2.5 Gbps. There’s also a Type-C port on the back, but it’s specifically for connecting the AC adapter to power the PC.With three different video signal ports available, I can connect up to three displays, although I’m currently just using it with my TV.I can read on the power adapter of the mini PC that it delivers at most 64.98 watts (19 volts, 3.42 amperes). It has a grounded plug and according to the information printed on it, it’s UL listed, CE certified, has the UKCA marking and it’s approved by the FCC. So, I guess the power adapter should be safe. When I touch the power adapter’s housing, I don’t feel any excessive heat – it’s just warm to the touch.I can access the BIOS by pressing the DEL or F2 button repeatedly immediately after turning on the PC. Alternatively, similar to my laptop, I can press the F7 button to first enter the boot menu, and then select ENTER SETUP to access the BIOS from there.According to the BIOS, The mini PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor. The PC is almost completely silent. I rarely hear anything. Also, It took just a few seconds to boot into Windows 11 during the initial setup. I didn’t encounter any bloatware in the pre-installed Windows.Getting back to the BIOS, I noted that Secure Boot is enabled. The system is configured in UEFI mode with the NVMe SSD set as the primary boot drive. The TPM 2.0 module is enabled, with security features such as SHA256 PCR Banks supported, adding an extra layer of protection to the system. When I first connected it to my Google TV, which I use as a display, I noticed that the image was cut off at the edges. To resolve this, I accessed my TV’s settings by clicking the settings button, then navigating to the Picture section. From there, I went into Advanced Settings and scrolled down until I found PC Mode. Enabling PC Mode instantly fixed the problem, and the display fit completely. The boot time ranges between 3 to 7 seconds, depending on the tasks or programs that I left running beforehand. Curious about the internal components, I opened up the chassis. The screws are hidden under the rubber feet at the bottom of the unit. Once opened, I saw the mini PC is equipped with two 16 GB DDR4 Lexar RAM sticks, giving a total of 32 GB of memory. The RAM operates at 3200 MHz, which I think is fast enough for responsive multitasking. For storage, the PC uses a 512 GB Apacer M.2 NVMe SSD. NVMe SSDs are known for their speed, and this model doesn’t disappoint me. The SSD provides read speeds of up to 3000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s. I guess these speeds contribute to the overall system responsiveness, from booting up Windows to launching heavy applications in seconds.I use the mini PC for media streaming, productivity software and video rendering. I regularly use LibreOffice for document creation and editing, and it runs without any lag. In addition to productivity software, I use the PC with GIMP, a photo-editing program that can be resource-intensive depending on the size and complexity of the files being worked on. Even when I’m editing high-resolution images, I haven’t experienced any lag or slowdowns.I also use KDENLive, a video editing software and the PC handles video rendering without issue. I rendered a short video clip in 1080p, and while this task can be taxing for many systems, the mini PC finished it within 6 minutes. For media streaming, I used it to watch 4K content through platforms like Netflix and YouTube. The streaming experience was smooth, with no buffering or lag, even when switching between tabs in a browser or running other programs in the background. The device’s AMD Radeon Graphics renders high-quality video without any stuttering. To get a clearer picture of the mini PC’s capabilities, I ran several benchmarks using CPU-Z, OpenHardwareMonitor, and HWiNFO.The benchmarks confirm the mini PC is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U, with 8 cores and 16 threads. I learned this processor operates at a base clock speed of 1.9 GHz but can boost up to 4.45 GHz during high-performance tasks. According to the results from CPU-Z, the CPU runs normally even under heavy load. During demanding tasks, such as when I’m video rendering and multitasking between several productivity applications, the clock speed stays within the 3.5 GHz to 4.4 GHz range.During the benchmarking, the CPU stayed relatively cool, with temperatures hovering around 55°C to 61°C. I monitored the thermal performance through OpenHardwareMonitor, and the CPU package temperature rarely exceeded 61°C, even during prolonged use.The 32 GB DDR4 RAM, running at 3200 MHz, allows me to do multitasking and seamlessly switch between programs. Even when I’m running several resource-heavy applications at the same time, such as GIMP, KDENLive, and LibreOffice, the system doesn’t slow down.According to the resource monitor, the 512 GB Apacer NVMe SSD reaches read speeds of up to 3000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s. I can confirm that as file transfers and application load times are quick and hassle-free.I’ve been using the mini PC over a month and so far the mini PC has been doing my everyday tasks. Whether I am browsing the web, streaming 4K videos, working on documents in LibreOffice, or editing photos in GIMP, the system handles it all without any freezing or stuttering. The unit is very silent even when I’m running more demanding tasks.

Very satisfied with this Mini-PC
I recently started dabbling in the world of Mini-PC’s and decided to give the KAMRUI Mini-PC a try. I purchased this little machine for media streaming and light gaming on my bedroom room TV. I’m very pleased with my purchase so I decided to give it a review for those out there who may be considering one.First the specs; the KAMRUI mini-PC specs are impressive considering the cost. The PC comes with an 11th generation Intel i5-11320H processor (4 cores / 8 threads, 8 MB Intel Smart Cache, and clock boosts up to 4.5 GHz) with built in Iris Xe graphics. It also includes 16GB DDR4 ram and a 512GB SSD. I/O for the system includes 2 x HDMI ports, 1 x VGA port, 1 x 1Gbit RJ45 LAN, 4 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB Type-C port, and one audio-in/out jack. Using the 2 HDMI ports along with the VGA port, you could use this mini-PC in a three-monitor setup if you desired. The case measurements for this mini-PC are 5” x 5.375” and it is approximately 2” tall. The only issue with this PC as far as I can tell is you cannot add more / upgrade the memory in this unit; however, 16GB is plenty for what I’ll be doing with it and I understood that when I purchased the computer. The build quality of this machine is very solid. The system is easy to open, only 4 screws, and effortlessly upgrade the storage if desired (you can add a NVMe SSD and / or a 2.5” SATA hard drive). I also like how the SSD has a heatsink attached to keep the drive cool. The whole thing weights just a tad less than a pound (15.8 oz), and you could easily mount it to the back of a monitor with the included Vesa bracket. The fan noise on this mini-PC is extremely quiet under normal operation, it does ramp up under full load, but even then I didn’t think it was that loud. The power draw for this unit was 11W at idle and 44W when running the Cinebench R20 multi-core CPU benchmark. The performance of this mini-PC is awesome, especially in single core applications. Multi-core benchmarks were good too, but the single core performance really surprised me how fast it was. During all the single core benchmarks I ran, this PC came within 5% of my desktop machine which has an AMD Ryzen 5900X CPU in it. In Cinebench R20, I got 2124 in the CPU multi-core benchmark, and for the Unigine Valley graphics benchmark I got a total score of 2201 at high settings, 720p, and 2x anti-aliasing. At 1080p I got a total score of 1116 at high settings and 2x anti-aliasing. This little PC is more than capable of doing 4K video streaming and I’ve been extremely impressed with the integrated graphics as I’ve tried out various titles from my steam library on my bedroom TV.Overall, the features and performance of KAMRUI mini-PC are extremely impressive considering its size. If you’re in the market for buying a mini-PC, you really can’t go wrong with this machine.
