A beast of a headset.
I am blown away by this headset. I have never really owned anything like it, and am thrilled with all of the features it packs. The build quality feels superb, and the sound can be too, and it has all kinds of EQ and Spatial Audio settings to really tune it so it sounds how you want it to. The design is really cool looking, and I love the RGB effects, which give it that personal touch. The headset is fairly large, but also highly adjustable, so it should fit most users okay.I am probably the most impressed with the active noise cancellation and head tracking technologies that the headset has. It has a gyroscope in it, so if you’re using Spatial Audio, you can turn your head, and the audio will move with it, which I just have never seen anything like.Though I feel I can give it five stars for the way I’m using it, I will point out a few potential downsides that may be a detriment depending on your situation. First and foremost, though you can use this thing on PC, console and mobile, I would not recommend it for Console or Mobile, as many of its features won’t really work without the PC software. Also, it is a wired headset, which I prefer, but some users may not, If these downsides are problems to you, you may want to look into the JBL quantum 910 that may not be as high spec, but are wireless and have an “X” and “P” variant that are marketed towards Xbox and PlayStation respectively, and thus are probably more compatible with console.

Great sounding wired headset
Overall sound is great with the Quantum One headset. I was up in the air on purchasing the wireless version or wired, and overall pleased with the wired. I have Sony earbuds so I really don’t need wireless and these are exclusive to my laptop setup. This has a removal boom mic which if you’re not careful can pull out slightly if you’re not paying attention. I adjusted my mic through the JBL software to have a very light side tone as a mild reminder my microphone is plugged in. Side tone adjustments work great and I didn’t think I would consider this a feature until I used it.I’m running a gaming laptop, which when I’m running in performance or turbo mode is loud with the fans to keep the system cool. The mic is crystal clear when I’m in game or Discord.Sound profiles are great and are a pleasant feature from switching from movies, music and then to gaming. The ANC works well. I tried to turn if off and really couldn’t tell a difference, but for me I’m OK with this since my fans are typically loud and enjoy the quiet when I’m gaming. This could be a setting I’m using as I’m still fine tuning my setup.Overall, very pleased. I got these for 50% off which made the deal that much sweeter. JBL makes really nice products in my mind. I was gifted a blue tooth speaker which got me interested in them.

Better than Bose, Seinnheiser, and Sony flagship headsets
I have the Bose nc 700, Bose Quite Comfort 35, Sony WH-1000XM4, and Sennheiser Momentum 3.The JBL Quantum One is better than all of those. It has better sound and the build quality is awesome. None of the wireless bluetooth headsets work very well due to bluetooth audio vs bluetooth headset codec differences. If you notice the sound quality is horrible when the microphone is enabled on bluetooth headsets. This is why. The Bose 700, Sony, and Sennheiser all suffer from this problem. The only one that doesn’t is the Bose 35, but that’s because they require you to plug a wire in to use the microphone. What is the point of getting a wireless headset that requires you to wire it in for headset functionality? For best functionality make sure to install JBL’s software and go through the noise cancelling setup.

Good headset with typical cheesy software and limited Mac compatiblity
They are a good pair of headphones with the typical recommendation to install their software for lighting options (who cares? They’re headphones, not decorative indoor lighting) and other features that can mostly be achieved through software (equalization, surround sound, and various things that can be done in PulseEffects or EasyEffects on Linux). I know the days of efficient software are long past, but really, a program using 256MB of R.A.M. just to manage some settings on my headset? Not long ago, my whole computer had that much memory. The built-in sounds/notifications for things like startup noise cancellation are Ridiculously Loud, so loud that I make sure to toggle them only when I’m not actually wearing the headset. I can hear “ANC On” perfectly loudly and clearly with the headphones held a foot or two away from my head. I haven’t found any way to reduce the volume of these things.Their software did not work at all on my Mac; it ran, but did not detect that the headset was plugged in. If you care about using their software, then that is a significant limitation. The only thing I wanted to do was turn off the pointless and distracting lighting (I couldn’t see it when I was wearing them, of course, but unfortunately could when they were on my desk or the stand), but that can be done using a button on the headset. They are slightly bulky, but not incredibly so, and consider that they do have both U.S.B. and 3.5mm connectivity (both of which work great) as well as active noise cancellation, which works quite well. The default U.S.B. is a bit scratch and it makes a very noticeable sound as it slides against my clothing or things on my desk when I move or turn my head, but I can minimize it by positioning things carefully.

O grande defeito do headset é o microfone.

Pros:Great highs, and great lows. Mid range is fairly good as well. The ANC is wonderful, works what I need it for but as I don’t have anything to compare it to, I can only say that its MUCH better than no noise canceling. The multiple volume dials take a bit of getting used to, but are nice when changing between games and talking to people. The software has head tracking for sound locations which is very unique, and although I have no use for it, I would assume someone would be able to fully appreciate it.The microphone quality is VERY good for a headphone microphone. I use it talking to friends and have used it in a few smaller voice acting parts. It is indistinguishable in quality from a standalone microphone like a blue yeti or similar.ONLY use the 7.1 surround setup in windows or similar and not the software, it is fantastic. The software leaves a lot to be desired however.Cons:Price. Its pretty hefty to say the least, especially if you’re not 100% sure what you’re looking for.I’ll preface this one with saying as long as you ONLY use the 7.1 surround setup in windows or similar and not the software, it is great. The surround sound in the software leaves a LOT to be desired, and makes it sound like you’re in a tin-can. The volume of everything becomes very low, and you cannot increase it very much.

Anc doesn’t work unless you are using the usb connector, so no on the go active noise cancellation. Headset is also quite fragile. Mine has broken in several places after 9 months. Sound quality is fine, but not incredible
