Not much color to the mousepad itself, but the page doesn’t lie, and it’s about what you should expect. Feels smooth on the fabric surface, and has good rubber gripping, however, mine came with very slight imperfect pilling on the surface, but otherwise is in factory-new state. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM is that once out of the package, it smells like fish, and hardly goes away with a cloth wipe down and spray of deoderizer. This is offputting and extremely noticeable, and if its meant to represent the salty brine of the ocean, this is not how to do it 😂.

Hokusai’s great wave is my favorite piece of artwork, and so I love this extra-wide mousepad. Too big for most keyboard trays though, so once I installed a keyboard tray I mostly just use it as a desk blotter. Keeps the pens from rolling too far, etc. and still looks really nice.
