Perfect Gift for Harry Potter Fans!
I got Hogwarts Legacy for my 12-year-old daughter as a gift, and she absolutely loves it! She’s a huge Harry Potter fan, and this game brings the magical world of Hogwarts to life in a way that she can explore and interact with. She’s had so much fun creating her own character, learning spells, and exploring the castle and the surrounding areas. The level of detail in the game is incredible—she keeps pointing out little things that remind her of the books and movies. It’s been a joy to see her so immersed in the game.I played this on the PS5 and thought it was fantastic, so I was curious how the Switch version would hold up. From what I’ve seen, it runs just as smoothly, though the graphics are slightly downgraded. That said, it still looks great for a Switch game, and the portability makes it a fantastic option for gaming on the go.If you’ve got a young witch or wizard in your house—or if you’re a fan of the Wizarding World yourself—this is an easy recommendation. It’s magical, fun, and packed with adventure!

Fantastic All Around Game
Great open world, exploration based game. The combat system is complex but intuitive, and once you master it, you simply go around the region and lay waste to dark wizards. The flying system is pretty dialed in and a joy as well. I love the moral ambiguity and ability to make choices that change the results of the game. Not as deep as skyrim, in regards to interactivity or lore, but loads more interesting environment than BoTW/TotK. In regards to replayability, I may go back and play this one again, but I’m not going to put the same amount of time into it as I would the other aforementioned games. This one is a good 40-80hrs of play, not the hundreds or thousands you may put into the others.I feel like this one has a lot of potential, and would love to see some DLC content worked out for it. Definitely a great addition to the HP universe and game library.

An amazing game even on the Nintendo switch
This game is an excellent port to the Nintendo switch. It loses some of the visual impact that it has on say the Xbox or ps5, but it plays very well on Nintendo switch. I have since finished the game and look forward to playing through it again. I would definitely recommend to anyone who liked Harry Potter movies.

A Magical Experience with Some Limitations on the Switch – Still Worth the Journey
As a long-time fan of the Harry Potter series, I was excited to dive into Hogwarts Legacy on the Nintendo Switch. While I was initially concerned about how the Switch version would hold up compared to other platforms, I’m happy to report that it delivers a solid and immersive experience, albeit with a few technical limitations.Pros:Immersive Hogwarts Experience: The game does an incredible job of bringing the world of Harry Potter to life. From the detailed environments of Hogwarts and its grounds to the bustling atmosphere of Hogsmeade, every aspect feels authentic and rich. For fans of the series, it’s a joy to explore these iconic locations and interact with a variety of magical creatures, characters, and spells.Engaging Storyline and Quests: The main story is compelling, offering a fresh narrative that fits well within the established Harry Potter lore. Side quests and activities also add depth, allowing players to engage in tasks like potion brewing, spell casting, and even magical dueling. The storyline decisions players make affect how their journey unfolds, providing replayability for those who want to explore different outcomes.Portability and Convenience: Playing Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch allows for the convenience of gaming on the go. Despite being a massive, open-world game, it’s great to be able to jump in and out of Hogwarts whenever I have a spare moment. The ability to play in handheld mode is a major advantage for Switch users.European Version Compatibility: Despite being the European version, the game runs smoothly on my Switch console (purchased in North America). It supports English and other languages, which is a relief for international players. The compatibility of the physical cartridge makes it accessible to players in different regions without any performance or functionality issues.Cons:Graphical Downgrades and Performance Issues: As expected with a game of this scale on the Switch, there are noticeable graphical downgrades compared to versions on more powerful consoles. Textures can appear blurry, and certain areas lack the detail found on other platforms. Additionally, frame rate drops occur occasionally during high-action sequences or when exploring more populated areas of Hogwarts.Long Loading Times: Given the size and detail of the game world, loading times can be quite long, especially when transitioning between areas or fast traveling. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can disrupt the immersion slightly, particularly when you’re eager to continue exploring.Controls and UI Adjustment: While the controls are well-mapped for the Switch, the UI feels slightly cramped in handheld mode. The smaller screen size can make it challenging to read some of the text and manage inventory efficiently. Playing in docked mode or adjusting the HUD settings can alleviate some of these issues, but it’s something to be aware of for handheld players.Durability:Stable Gameplay Over Time: Despite the performance limitations, the game has remained stable, with no crashes or major bugs encountered after several hours of gameplay. The cartridge seems well-made, and the European version’s build quality is on par with other official releases.Consistent Updates and Support: The developers have been releasing updates to optimize performance on the Switch, which is promising for future stability and improvements. This support shows a commitment to ensuring a quality experience for players on this platform.Overall:Hogwarts Legacy – Nintendo Switch (European Version) is a solid choice for Harry Potter fans who want to experience the magic of Hogwarts on a portable platform. While the Switch version doesn’t offer the same graphical fidelity as other consoles, the immersive story, expansive world, and flexibility of handheld play make it a worthwhile investment for those willing to overlook some technical compromises. If you’re looking for the ultimate Hogwarts experience, you might prefer playing on a more powerful console. However, if portability and convenience are your priority, this version still captures the magic and excitement of exploring the wizarding world. Just be prepared for some graphical and performance trade-offs, and keep an eye out for future updates that may enhance the experience further.

Must for all Harry Potter fans
Around 5-6 hours into the game, Nintendo sent me a survey about this game. At the time I was still in the earlier stages and I’m going to be honest I was a little bit bored. I gave it a some what of a low rating. But after that the game quickly showed a lot of variety in the game play. I love open world concepts and this I would say it’s half and half on the “open” part. There were areas I couldn’t visit or you can tell it’s not triggering till you get to certain stages.I’m a casual gamer and I think difficulty is not very hard. I’d say it’s more like a movie you can play in than a game that has some story lines.I’m almost done with the game and I gotta say there were a few things in this game that was really cool and I hope they add more things like that should they make a sequel.I think some of the common complaints were that there is a lot of repetitiveness in the game but for me it was okay. I’d play an hour or two every night before bed for unwind and I didn’t mind it much.I definitely recommend this game to a Harry Potter fan. Is it the greatest GAME? No I don’t think so if I’m being honest.

Assolutamente consigliato!

Hogwarts Legacy on the Nintendo Switch delivers an immersive wizarding experience, allowing players to explore iconic locations like Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the Forbidden Forest. The open-world RPG is filled with magic, from casting spells to battling dark wizards, and offers a rich, customisable gameplay experience. However, performance on the Switch may not match up to other consoles, with reduced visuals and occasional frame rate drops. Despite this, it’s a magical journey that fans of the Wizarding World will appreciate on the go.
