This arrived in a simple zip lock plastic bag. It was in perfect shape.This little splitter is something every PC gamer needs a few of. They are very handy if your are trying to use a headset that has only one 3.5 mm jack on one end rather than two on your PC (One jack for the headset sound and one for the headset mic). This would allow you to use such a headset on your front IO panel on your case (as in my pictures), or directly into a sound card, both internal or external, should you have one.This works well, and this one has the added bonus of being nicely braided which most are not.I have no cons. I try to have a couple of these to use with multiple headsets on multiple different PC setups. I always seem to lose them occasionally so for me its better to have more than one.

Microphone didn’t work
I tried using this with my all headphones including SONY, Targus & RadioShack. But it didn’t work with any of the.Only the speaker portion works, microphone doesn’t work. Please make sure to check the compatibility before buying this product. This product is useless for me.

Turns a Single 4-Pole 3.5mm Cable into Two 2-Pole 3.5mm Cables
I use my headsets with various pieces of equipment, and some accept the 4-Pole 3.5mm cable, but others require two of the 2-Pole 3.5mm connectors. This adapter does just that. It also allows me to use the headset as a pair of headphones as well. The 3.5mm 4-Pole connector doesn’t allow proper function of the headphones part of the headset if I plug it into the headPHONES jack on some equipment, so this adapter allows me the flexibility to do just that. It really comes in handy and lets me use my headsets and headphones on any of my devices that have a 3.5mm audio jack of either kind.

My new headphones have a single jack for audio and mic but my computer has a different plug for each.More worrying, these are supposedly high quality headphones but when I tried plugging them into the mic port the recorded audio was really terrible. The mic can be detached so I tried plugging it in without the headphones and the audio quality remained terrible. I was worried that my new headphones were duds. The only thing I could think of was that maybe the all-in-one jack wasn’t connecting right with my mic jack, maybe they weren’t duds, maybe I just needed a splitter.I ordered this splitter and I’m thrilled to report that it works and that all of my problems are resolved. The audio in and audio out quality are great. No issues with the mic or the headphones. My bacon is saved!
