Featuring the world’s first 40-megapixel APS-C sensor, 8K video and powerful features for both stills and motion creatives, X-H2 offers an incredible specification in a compact and portable body. The all-new X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor produces images with incredible color and detail, featuring Pixel Shift Multi-Shot – another X Series first – that generates 160-megapixel files. 8K video is possible for up to 240 minutes with 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes footage recorded internally via CF Express Type B card. 12-bit RAW footage can also be recorded via the Type A HDMI socket to compatible external recorders. Add the optional VFT-XH File Transmitter to access Remote Rec, allowing control over up to four cameras simultaneously – perfect for live streaming. All this processing power is packed into a small, light, and durable X Series body that offers a seven-stop IBIS system, continuous shooting at up to 15 frames-per-second (mechanical shutter), an incredible 1/180,000 sec top shutter speed and more.
Live in detail with the world’s first 40-megapixel APS-C sensor X-H2 blends the compact and lightweight versatility of APS-C mirrorless cameras with an unmatched back-side illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR imaging sensor. Add in an optimized pixel layout that promises exceptional detail, unrivaled color accuracy, and impressive video flexibility, these game-changing features are made possible only with X-Processor 5, which delivers lightning-fast performance to help X-H2 deliver 8K/30p video, enhanced autofocus capabilities, and black-out free image bursts at 15fps. Not to mention, it’s also more efficient than its predecessor, boosting battery performance by 10%.
X-H2 uses its native 8K video resolution to give filmmakers several ways of unlocking the camera’s true potential. X-H2 offers a suite of video functions that make it perfect for every moviemaking occasion. Apple ProRes 10-bit 4:2:2 footage can be recorded internally at up to 8K/30p using a CFexpress Type B card, while 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW*1 or Blackmagic RAW*2 footage can be recorded to compatible external devices* via the full-size HDMI Type A port. Additionally, when recording video using the F-Log2 color profile, X-H2’s dynamic range extends to 13+ stops – a one-stop improvement over the previous sensor, enhancing post-production flexibility.
Pixel Shift Multi-Shot X-H2 is the first X Series to feature Pixel Shift Multi-Shot, which delivers 160-megapixel images for the ultimate quality when detail really matters. A staple of GFX System cameras, Pixel Shift Multi-Shot records 20 frames, shifting the sensor by 0.5 pixels between each frame. Resulting images are automatically combined into one DNG RAW file, which can be output to a desired file format using suitable RAW processing software. This groundbreaking feature is invaluable for archival recording and other commercial applications where color fidelity and fine detail are paramount. Using Pixel Shift Multi-Shot ensures false colors and moiré effects are suppressed.
Improved in-body image stabilization (IBIS) offers seven stops of compensation and features an enhanced algorithm that improves motion detection. This produces shake-free results in more scenarios than ever before, most notably when panning or following subjects on foot for video. For stills photographers, full-resolution images can be recorded at an incredible 15 frames-per-second when using the mechanical shutter, while those switching to the electronic shutter can work at 20fps in the 1.29x crop factor option. Further high-speed options are provided by the electronic shutter’s 1/180,000 sec top speed, while photographers seeking optimum quality will welcome the lower minimum ISO 125.
With its broad range of wired and wireless options for transferring image and video data, the X-H2 camera body supports wireless image transfer through the Fujifilm Remote Camera App and natively delivers webcam resolutions of up to 4K/60p for a high-quality live streaming experience. With the optional VFT-XH Wireless File Transmitter Battery Grip functionality is expanded even further. The grip adds tethering connections and FTP file transfer through Wi-Fi, Ethernet and smartphone connections, plus the Remote Rec function. This enables up to four camera bodies, with VFT-XH battery grips attached, to be connected and controlled via a web browser on a computer, tablet or smartphone.

Great camera
To keep it simple, here is a list of the strengths and weaknesses of this camera:+ The image clarity is amazing and you can especially notice it when using the new 18mm, 23mm, 33mm, or 53mm lenses. Those are the three new primes made specifically for the additional pixels.+ As with all of the Fujifilm cameras, the lens simulations are awesome. I have previously owned both Nikon and Cannon cameras and I may have used maybe 1% of the images straight out of the camera without editing in Photoshop etc. With the Fujifilm camera I probably use 25% of the images straight out of the camera and I am very picky with what I will use.+ The focus speed is very fast and accurate. I really didn’t have any problem with the X-T4 with regards to it’s autofocus speed but this one is even better although not by a large margin in my opinion. There just wasn’t a large room for improvement at the start.+ The size of the camera is perfect for my hands. It is a bit larger than the X-T4 but not that much heavier and the size hits in my end very well with out putting on a bracket like I had to with the X-T4 which probably made it weight the same anyway.+ I really love how they adjusted the display so you could always have the 3D electronic level on. I hope that they do this with all of their cameras in the future. I use this all the time with so many shots so it is nice to have in automatically on at all times.+ The in camera view is extremely clear and never blacks out and with the fast refresh rate, you never miss an image and the clarity is amazing.+ The new autofocus button (M, C, S). I am indifferent to the button but do really like being able to set it to go along with my C settings on the PSAM dial. Because of portrait settings I like certain settings but I prefer manual for landscape and being able to do this to this level I really like.-+ The PSAM dial. I would actually prefer it did not use this dial. However, it is VERY useful to me with regards to all of the settings one can adjust with the C pre-defined settings. I really wish Fujifilm could figure out a way to allow a person to control all of the settings (like image size, image quality, autofocus setting, etc.) with the Q settings in the other cameras like the X-T4. I do not understand why they can’t do this in the others and I find this very useful and then I would not want the PSAM dial at all.- My biggest hang up is in the removal of the the clickable command dials. I really hate this! It is very nice in the other cameras to be able to set this to things like the ISO so you don’t have to waste a button and are very easy to adjust quickly.- This is getting EXTREMELY picky but a friend of mine has the old Fujifilm XF-10 camera. I rarely use the Filter settings but he was showing me all of the extra ones on his camera and some of the cool images straight out of the camera. I do not understand when they have already done the programming to create these, why they don’t do that on all following cameras. There are very few things that I dislike about this camera and am actually very pleased with how well it both handles and performs.

Amateur photographer’s dream
Coming from the Fujifilm X-T3 , this camera feels more robust and easier to handle because of the large grip. I absolutely love shooting with it and I take it everywhere. With that being said, the looks and feel shouldn’t justify your purchase decision alone. I don’t shoot videos at all so I didn’t opt for the S version but this camera is certainly capable. The battery life is great compared to the XT3 and I love the always on display. The view finder is bright and crisp. The auto focus is very nice as well. With the 40 megapixels, I notice the difference when I crop images and zooming in to see the clarity and sharpness. I won’t be an amateur much longer. I feel like I have arrived when I shoot with this lol. No seriously, great camera. If you want to upgrade or just try it out you should. The price may be steep so your current camera may get the job done just fine.

Outstanding camera
I’m really pleased with the X-H2. As a long time Nikon shooter, I wanted a high megapixel count mirrorless to play with. 8000 shots later, I must say, I have not been disappointed. Superb detail, excellent low ISO colors, and cool film simulations make using it a lot of fun. I doubt casual users will see a reason to pay the price. (many less expensive choices for point and shooters) Advanced users will love it.

Happy with the Switch from Canon
I decided to switch away from Canon, which I’ve shot for 20 plus years, after realizing that I wasn’t doing much photograph because of the weight of the full frame system. It was a hard decision, but my research on Fuji indicated that their camera were lighter, more user-friendly and far more customisable. The research was correct. I received the camera in the last few days and have been working with it to get used to the new [for me] menu and controls style. I have to say this is impressive. The body is similar in weight to full-frame cameras but the difference lies in the glass. It is so much lighter that I can easily see myself taking this out for a full day of shooting. The camera itself is impressive, with an almost complete ability to customise the camera.I’m a very happy customer.

A perfect camera
I’ve tried cameras from almost each brand and I can easily say that this camera has such a beautiful edge on most APS-C. Amazingly perfect for the value and the light weight versatility packed into a small body.

Best Fuji so far
I had somewhat love and hate relationship with Fuji starting from X-T1, then X-T2… Greatly appreciated the concept, dials interface, The FUJI colors. Was frustrated however from gripless ergonomics and lack of IBIS, which was addressed by X-H1, but killed by some crazy Fuji planning managers by releasing X-T3 with new sensor generation shortly after X-H1 launch … fast forward 4 years to X-H2…1) ergonomics: Disaster! Not here and not there. Lack of dials is very disappointing. Grip is absolutely not comfortable. Really don’t understand those Fuji planners. If you want to copy that PASM dial like from Nikon and Canon then why on earth don’t you copy their form factor as well? Handling of Canon R5 is nothing short of incredible, Z7 almost the same. The X-H2 ? just awkward, Fingers and palm are never resting. Pity.Image Quality: Incredible. was expecting huge hit in grain due to 40mp sensor. Nothing….even better than my old XT2. Don’t even see those worms like artifacts when sharpening in Lightroom.Speed: Incredible if to compare to XT1, XT2Autofocus: Honestly speaking i left the Fuji camp due to inability to shoot Birds in flight.I understand that X-H2 probably not on the level of R5 or A1 but happy to see THE VERY huge advance over XT2. Tracking and birds focus works just nice for me. I only had it for a couple of weeks so i will update how it works with tele lenses especially with Nikon 500mm via Fringer adapter.

Bought as an upgrade from the Panasonic G9, since I wanted higher resolution for cropping and the X-H2 body is a close copy of the G9, which has handling I like.Image quality is much better in low light, and the 40MP sensor gives way more options in post than the G9 20MP sensor. The auto-focus is much better than the G9 for everything except macro, where the X-H2 seems to focus just a little bit short — e.g. on the nearest leg of an insect, rather than they eye or thorax — even when using the “insect detect” feature added in firmware 3.0.I’m not getting nearly the promised battery-life — maybe “battery life” didn’t factor in the AF power draw? — so I’ll have to buy spares to do a full day’s shooting.Be warned that Fuji RAW files are a challenge for some RAW processing programs — Affinity Photo and Lightroom both produced desaturated and low-detail images from it — so you should definitely use the freeware version of Capture One provided from Fuji. Its processing demands will strain ordinary laptop CPUs and older desktop CPUs too, and you will have to choose whether to put C1 on your laptop or desktop since the freeware version of C1 allows only one installation. However, the SOOC Fuji jpegs are almost as good at dynamic range as what I can get from editing any half-way-decently-exposed RAW files, so I have fewer photos that I have to run through a full RAW processing regimen than I did with the G9.

Lots to like. Even has GPS that I didn’t knew it had. Coming from full frame Canon DSLR’s. Got the Fringer adapter for all my Canon lenses and they work well with it. The Jpegs coming right out of the camera are extremely nice with lots of film simulations to choose from. It may change how you think about raws on this camera. I would more heavily edit the raws on my Canon’s to get what I like, not so much on the XH2. Jpegs edit well but not really needed imagine that. Low light high iso is just ok, not quite like my full frames. The resolution is fantastic but the file sizes are large and will become an issue. More storage solutions coming my way. Kit lens is good but not stellar for this high resolution camera. Everything you would expect from a flag ship camera.

Never thought I would say this but the best multiuser camera I ever had the pictures are amazing the videos are extraordinary and even a novice can hold the camera steady and shaking is non existent the lens is heavy but perfect fit overall the best ever and I had and have many cameras
