A must for retro rpg lover
Final fantasy needs no introduction. Series has been a classic for a long time. The pixel remaster does a fantastic job at giving you an approximate experience to the source material while giving you quality of life changes that doesn’t ruin the original experience. The improved visuals and soundtracks are very pleasing to new and old fans alike. You get a lot in a small collection and should not be slept on.

Great set of fun games.
Well done remake of 6 classic games with good quality of life improvements added. Good music. Good boost system to make the games simpler if you want.

Nostalgic review
I didnt play or own all of these growing up but i did play 4,6 and 5 a little. I love playing them with a physical copy again cause i hate digital only games that can dissaper. I love the update and remaster of the games that improve quality of life touches of the games. Though if they updated the translations i will miss those old translation joked. Worth buying to be able to play on big tv and portable again. Nice simple straightforward rpg

A Great Collection
If you are into classic JRJPG’s there is no need for an explanation. Wondering collection of the first 6 games. Been fun replaying them!

Six games, all quality-of-life upgrades
Okay, confession time: I’ve beat every one of these games in multiple formats and iterations across the few silly decades I have lived on this planet. This pixel remaster is simply an amazing refinement of nostalgic games which are nostalgic because they are good and are good because they were produced with care from the get go. The quality-of-life enhancements are not just remastering in terms of the graphics and font/UI etc., but also options in the setting to have gil and exp multipliers that let the player fine tune some of the difficulty curve of some of the games, which are notorious for having some battles or sidequests that were not perfectly balanced in the originals.I bought this so I could replay any of the games at whim on a rainy day, and I’m glad to say maybe I’ll break it out on sunny days once in a while too.

Awesome for the old gaming style nerd
My husband loves these games. He plays it on our ps5. But he missed the old style of the games from his childhood. I found this and got it for him as a secret surprise present. All of his free time goes to these games now. He said it’s very nostalgic for him. I’m so pleased with this purchase!

It’s not final, but it’s a fantasy.
I hate that this isn’t definite in any way, because SQEX is cheap. The music and QoL is nice, makes the games rather amazing for what they are. That’s the only reason I’m giving it a 5 star, but personally I’d put it lower. The HD music is a bit much at times, but it’s good listening. They aren’t the most historic versions, and really, they one thing they should’ve done was add voices. Charging a full 75 is also utterly ridiculous.I basically feel that it both is and isn’t a 5.I mean, FF4 has a complete edition on the PSP, which you might as well figure out how to run on your phone, or find the 3D versions. No afterstory for 4 is very dumb.

5 of thr best RPG games you can find.
This is a great collection and the perfect system to put it on. I have been playing this since I got it, the games look amazing. I love the remastered pixel graphics, and remixed music is perfect. If you have never played these games and were curious I would say this is the definitive collection to pick up.

Got on sale, would really only have purchased it on sale quite honestly. Great games, though Final Fantasy II belongs in the bin.

What’s not to like? It’s three NES and three SNES Final Fantasy games, updated for HDTV. The NES games are somewhat updated with SNES-level graphics and features like attacking the next enemy if the targeted one is already dead. Basically, all of the games have the same look and feel in battle, which is the Final Fantasy IV experience. “Auto battle” speeds up the battles by automatically repeating your last action for each character. Each game has a bestiary, which is nice improvement. The on-screen map is a nice improvement over printed maps. The music is performed by a real orchestra, though the original music is an option if you want a more authentic experience. They took everything that was good about these games and added things that we would have loved to have had back in the day. I couldn’t be happier with this remake. Six games is a lot of playtime. Very good value for what it costs.
