I bought this mouse for my work. I prefer wired over wireless. I just wanted something cheap that wasn’t a black brick. It was much better than expected. I am not sure the quality for avid gamers, but it is smooth for what I use it for.

Nice RGB budget-friendly gaming mouse – Some compromises and no software hold it back
When I took this mouse out of the box, I looked for the user guide which according to the back of the box was supposed to be included, but there was none. However, I was able to figure most things out on my own.There is supposedly only one RGB mode but actually there are two. The promoted one they call “7 cool colors breathing LED lights” but it just changes colors and doesn’t really breathe. UPDATE: The company support replied that they think it does breathe, but most breathing effects I’ve come across are MUCH slower. So in fairness I guess the user can decide for themselves.There is conflicting information in the Amazon listing on how to turn off the RGB lights, but I found the correct way is by hitting the dpi and back buttons at the same time, or holding down dpi for 3 seconds. However, it doesn’t actually totally turn the RGB lights off. Instead you get a second RGB mode where it’s solid red when the mouse is moving or mostly off with a dim red glow when the mouse isn’t moving. (See pictures for dim red glow mouse when stationary.)It has four dpi settings, 1200, 1600, 2400 and 3200. You know which dpi setting you are on by seeing how many times the red light blinks, 1 for 1200, 2 for 1600, 3 for 2400 and 4 for 3200. I came across a glitch where if the desktop you use the mouse on isn’t the right surface, you don’t get the right number of blinking red lights or it doesn’t blink at all. This might just be my one desktop as the other one I used the mouse on didn’t have this problem. The fix is to pick the mouse up off the desktop, then hit the dpi button or use a mouse pad with a more even surface. The blinking red lights when hitting the dpi button also does not work when turning the RGB lights off.There also are no skates on the bottom of the mouse. Only slightly raised plastic areas along the top and bottom. The drawback is the mouse might make noise as the plastic on the bottom slides across some desktops if you don’t use a mouse pad. This is the first mouse I can recall that didn’t have skates on the bottom.On the plus side, the RGB lights certainly look cool, it’s very light, I like its shape, and it’s one of the most comfortable mice I have used. There is no thumb rest along the left hand side, so it will work equally well for left-handed gamers. One selling point is the “silent click” which works well. However, it’s only for the left click. The scroll wheel click is not completely quiet, and neither is the right click and the scroll wheel itself. And the dpi, back and forward buttons definitely make fairly loud clicks.On the negative side, the plastic looks and feels cheap next to other budget mice I have tried, but nevertheless feels somewhat sturdy. Some may find the mouse to be too light compared to other budget gaming mice choices.Finally, in the Amazon listing it says “6 Programmable Buttons for Gaming – This wired mouse for laptop with side buttons can be programmed with mainstream eSports games easy-to-program gaming software.” However, I was unable to find this software anywhere on the Internet. I found another “G5 mouse” on sale on Amazon under a different brand but which did not mention it being programmable, and the picture showing the software was also not there. So maybe there is no software. If the software is out there, I certainly couldn’t find it (and I tried).UPDATE 4/24/24: Company support replied to me a second time after my review appeared (which was surprising) and I got the impression they were referring to being able to program the 6 mouse buttons within the games themselves and not in a separate software program.Because of the VERY detailed response the company gave me with their last email to me, (good support these days is hard to find) I’m going to be raise the CHONCHOW G5 from 3 stars to 4 stars. It certainly performs well, and after all is said and done, that is the most important thing. If you are low on cash (and who isn’t these days?) it is a good option. I hope you found this review helpful.

So quiet
This mouse is just what it says, a silent click mouse. It doesn’t make a sound when clicking. The scrolling roller also doesn’t make any noise. I’m pretty impressed with the fact that it can be so quiet. It does also light up and that’s pretty cool but most gaming mouse do that. Overall it seems a pretty decent mouse for the price and it does what it says, silent clicks.
