Customers find the chair comfortable with enough back support. They appreciate its sturdiness, quality, and ease of assembly. The instructions are clear, and a tool is included to aid in assembly. The seat is roomy and high enough that they can easily sit up straight. Many customers consider it a nice office chair for plus-sized people. However, some dislike the tilt feature and have different opinions on height adjustment.

Comfortable For Us Wide Bottomed Girls Who Make The Rockin World Go Round
This is an amazing chair! Perfect for wide hips and bottom. I love how the head and back are supported, but not to the point where it gives me a neck ache from leaning forward. I was hesitant about getting a new office chair, I had my last one for 20 years. No regrets because I chose the right one. I’m in love!

Very comfortable chair. Great chair if you don’t remind replacing it every 18 months or so
I fell in like with this chair after I bought it and put it together with no issues. Thought this would be the last chair purchase for a long while but I was sadly mistaken. I’m well under 400lbs and I thought that the materials were made for heavy duty use. I’ve had cheaper chairs that lasted about the same time. The failure is always in the base plate assembly from reclining the chair repeatedly it seems. If I could replace that part then the chair would be back to its original greatness. I’m going to see if they will replace that part or charge for the replacement. I don’t want to spend money for another whole chair, but if they are trying to rip me off on the base plate replacement then I will go with another brand altogether that is not made in China.

Nice chair
I was a bit leery when the box arrived at my house. The box was very beat up with several holes punched in it. Luckily, none of the chair parts had been damaged and the chair was fairly simple to put together. The chair is comfortable to sit in. The only drawbacks are that the back is much shorter than my last chair and it is rather stiff to rock back right now. Overall I am quite satisfied.

10/10 Chair!
I love this chair! Heavy duty and sturdy. Easy to put together in about 20mins, but was easier with two people to steady the arms. Super comfy and plush.

not too impressed at ALL
UPDATE: the gas lift didnt work so the seller took about 3 weeks to get me a new part when i had my friend come by for the 2nd time to put the new part on it made the chair go 8 feet in the air id need a ladder to get on it that was RIDICULOUS and i contacted seller again and he said he would send another part of the same original length but it was on back order for a month and now since he played around for so long the return window will close in a couple of days and i am disabled and cannot return the chair so he tells me i should buy a lift they are all standard if i dont want to wait i told him to make sure i was on the list to get one when they come in as i wasnt spendng more money this chair IS A WASTE OF MONEY and as i originally said that LUMBAR feature HURTS my back and its hzrd to press if you have arthritic hands as i do !!!!DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!the arms are nice the seat is comfy (for now) but i thought it would be higher for my knees as it says 50″ and it only goes to about 45 or so and its not ,,,,,,,,,in order to use the lumbar feature you have to sit all the way back and i cant with my crippled back and knees ,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,im not as impressed as i was hoping i read and looked at so many chairs before i chose this one i am disabled and had a friend and her husband put it together if i wasnt crippled id return it in a HOT SECOND but i dont want them to have to bother to take i all apart an drag a 76 lb box to UPS but if i wasnt crippled and disabld this would go back i shoulda inown better since it was made in China im lucky if i get a year out of it i shoulda listened more to the negative reviews and i didnt want the rocking feature thats for sure i bought it for the lumbar feature and its NOT that great believe me i had to put a pillow on the chair –

Barely acceptable for me.
Colamy Office Chair Model 2181Purchased 11 Feb 23, delivered 17 Feb 23, assembled 18 Feb 231. As many people have noted, the box came looking quite a bit the worse for wear, but the product pieces inside the box did not appear to be damaged at all. All parts were in the box.2. Assembly was not too difficult, although I did wind up loosening the 4 bolts that hold the arms to the seat (2 on each side) and the 4 bolts that hold the back to the seat (again, 2 bolts on each side), in order get all 8 of them to tighten fully and equally.3. Observations:a.) while the arms, seat and back are all connected tightly, the seat ROCKS LEFT AND RIGHT ON THE TOP OF THE GAS CYLINDER. It did this from the first time I sat on it.b.) The chair seat is pretty comfortable (at least now, on the first day I have used it).c.) I am 6’ 1 ¾” tall, and normally proportioned, albeit overweight at 290 lbs. At its maximum height, the seat allows me to sit with both feet flat on the floor; there is no height adjustment for me, because any lower and my knees are jutting forward. If I were an inch or more taller, this seat would not go high enough to let me sit comfortably.d.) The seat portion of the chair does lean forward slightly, although not enough to make me send it back.e.) The seat portion is just long enough (front to back) to provide support to my upper legs; if I were a couple inches taller, it would not be long enough.f.) The seat is wide enough that sitting normally does not cause my legs to rub on the arms on either side.g.) The locking mechanism to keep the seat from rocking front to back works only in the fully upright position, meaning you cannot lock it into place with the seat leaning slightly back to make up for its built-in slightly forward tilt.4. Conclusions: I cannot speak to how well this chair will hold up to someone my size, much less approaching the 400 lb. size it claims to support; I can say without reservation that this chair is not for tall people. I can use it *ONLY* at its highest height, and while I am taller than average, I am not even (quite) 6’ 2”. Do not buy this chair for any reason if you are 6’ 3” or taller. The reviewer who said it fit him fine at a height of 6’ 8” is lying, either to us or to himself (many men do this). I have not decided if I will send it back, because it works for me at its maximum height, and if you have been looking for a chair that is actually for big and tall people for a while, you’ll know that a good one costs upwards of $500, which I don’t have to spend. Sigh.Update, Feb 22, 2023: I have attached a photo showing why, in my opinion, this chair sits so low! I had not seen this when I wrote the original review, nor have I seen it on any chair I have owned. If it gave me back just one inch (preferably more, but one inch would do), I would have a bit of height adjustment, and be more comfortable. Unfortunately, given that gas cylinders are necessarily a standard size, replacing mine won’t help. I would actually need to replace the 5-point base with one that has a receiving hole a bit smaller. Also, I am more aware and more weary of the forward tilt in this chair. I realize that all these chairs have this problem built in to them because they no longer have a back plate (a supporting metal plate that connects the base of the seat to the back) — the backs of almost all office chairs now only connect to the arms — but I may wind up sending this one back because of it, after all.UPDATE: After being assembled and used for a week, the chair began making an ominous clunking sound when I get in or out of it. I think it is related to the wobble that was present from the first moment the chair was assembled, but all I can say for certain is that nothing obvious is loose. It is going back. All in all, I would avoid this chair, although it is likely that every company selling chairs in this price range is going exceptionally cheap on the manufacture and quality of parts. Sigh.
