Infuriatingly awful; save yourself the headaches
We were so hopeful when we bought two of these phones for our twins. Unfortunately, we have been absolutely pulling our hair out trying to set them up. At each step, something just doesn’t work. Random errors, workflows that just go in circles — “I already clicked through this 40 times!” — and the online help is of no use. Wonderful concept, terrible execution.

Love Bark phone!
Have only had the phone about two weeks. I’m loving the parental controls and alerts over content in the text messages it makes me laugh when I get alerts and it’s texts from me! The parental controls at times get tough to work around because there are things I’ll allow and figuring out how to let the phone allow it got tricky! But figured it out! All in all we love the phone, we love that she can talk to friends safely!

Why is set up so insanely complicated??
I purchased this phone because of the glowing reviews and seemingly simple set up. My experience with this phone (and the associated service line) has been nothing but a disaster. While the “set up” videos are easy to understand, the actual set up is cumbersome, complicated and complicated – not worth the trouble. I had two separate friends (both of whom work in IT) try their luck with the phone set up and both were completely stumped. What’s more frustrating is Bark doesn’t have an IT support phone number you can simply call to get advice there and then, you have to email back and forth. Not great. Save your money.

Highly Recommend
Worth the purchase and monthly plan cost!I needed a good phone that can monitor everything for my son, who has began taking the bus this year for the first time. I wanted to be able to see his location and give him ways to contact me in case of emergency. A little tough at first to navigate but once you get it down, you really can control and monitor everything from your own phone. 10/10 definitely recommend.
