Great and inexpensive laptop
So far I am very happy with this laptop. I do photo editing and also use it to run my laser engravers. It has performed flawlessly. I like that it has the number pad on the right and a nice big and clear screen. The batter life is great too! It was also nice that it wasn’t full of bloatware. I would purchase this again for sure.

Designed for basic users
This is a well-designed laptop for basic users who will not need to upgrade. The battery is not removable. It comes in S mode, which limits software choices but is easily removed. Everything seems to work as expected and I have had no trouble using it. Users looking for a low-cost unit for home and home office needs should consider this one.

Great Laptop for the Price!
I got this laptop for my dad, and it’s been amazing! It’s slim, looks great, and works really well. The AMD Ryzen 3 processor and 8GB RAM are perfect for everyday tasks, and the SSD makes it super fast. The screen is clear, and the fast charging is very handy. My dad is very happy with it, and it’s a great deal for the price!

A good laptop and a great price on sale
I got this laptop for $200 on sale during Black Friday, and am very happy! A quick and easy setup out of the box, with very little bloatware to remove. I took the Windows 11 out of S mode, so I could download and install the programs I wanted, I also upgraded the SSD to 512 GB, which was simple enough to do. I use this laptop for basic “office” stuff and watching videos on line or with Netflix – been working great so far

Massive light bleed from screen, even with calibration, SDR, no HDR
I wanted to like this laptop but I’m having so much backlight bleed. The whole screen is a hazy glow and the TN panel amplifies it. With a TN panel, you have to look at it from the best angle to really see the best of the screen, unlike IPS and other options. I have other TN panels and this one seems like the worst of them and the backlight bleed issue amplifies the issue even more when you’re not viewing it perfectly on, and even if you are, it’s still not crisp or clear, like people are saying. I’ve tried every setting to try to control it, from the Windows display settings, to the Radeon settings, to the calibration, I couldn’t get it to show right. I have other monitors to compare it to, so it’s even more obvious. It’s nearly impossible to get a contrast going. For $199, it’s such a great deal. But I have a feeling they gave this Ryzen 3 variant a worse panel. The Ryzen 5 version is nearly $100 more but if you really look at the specs, there’s no practical difference other than a very tiny slight clock. I cannot imagine what’s going on there. It’s so hard to get info if this is a defect on mine, a defective in general, a defect for the Ryzen 3 variants or this is truly what it’s supposed to be. ASUS obfuscated model numbers and SKUs. I really wanted to like it because everything else is just fine. I have no complaints about the performance, the quality of the body itself, the keys, etc, especially for the price. I’m not expecting “quality” with the panel either. But it’s so strange that only one other comment acknowledges the backlight bleed issue. It’s hard to even know if the people on here talking about a clean & crisp display are even talking 100% exactly about the same model I bought this Black Friday. If you try to Google Youtube reviews about it, it seems like foreign reviewers are talking about an almost exact variant but not quite because there’s have key backlit and they praise the screen for being good enough. That’s because again, ASUS obfuscates by changing the branding of “Go” models internationally. Which adds another layer on what 100% exactly you’re getting. The backlight bleed and hazy glow is enough to give me a headache and just make the whole experience unusable and I say this as someone that is usually not too bothered about “quality”.

A good, cheap laptop with an important asterisk
This laptop has pretty good specs for the price, and the only thing that would make this a 5 star recommendation is if it had Windows 10 installed out of box. The specs suit it much better, and for comparison:Windows 11 ram usage with just firefox open: 6.2gbWIndows 10 ram usage with just firefox open: 4.8gbWindows 11 storage space free with just firefox installed: 76gbWIndows 10 storage space free with just firefox installed: 89gbI didnt grab any other metrics like what the CPU was doing, but since Windows 10 is older it should run better and it does feel like it with frame-rate speeds and user input response times being slightly more responsive. In short, if you get this laptop and have a flashdrive with Windows 10 install media, install windows 10.With Windows 10: 5/5Runs fasterMore available ramMore available storageInstall removes bloatwareStill supported as of 01/17/2025With Windows 11: 4/5Runs slightly slowerLess available ramLess available storageComes with bloatwareStill supported as of 01/17/2025I will update this if I ever look more in depth.

Got it for Singapore $381. Wish it came with at least double the capacity of storage space; but can’t complain for the price paid. Will do an upgrade after warranty expires.
