    Better Deal, Better Camera!
So far, I’m very impressed. This camera rivals a much more expensive brand action camera. It has an excellent picture quality and great battery life. I couldn’t be any more pleased. I bought the kit that comes with accessories. It does not come with the microSD card but it does include an additional battery with charger. It’s easy to use and connects to an app that so the camera can be controlled by my iPhone. I recommend getting a floating hand grip for snorkeling (pictured and not part of kit). Otherwise the accessory kit has everything you need to get started! Get it! You’ll be happy you did!

A phenomenal little camera with a multitude of uses!
This wonderful little camera has become an absolute necessity for my bike rides! The video quality is crisp and clear even into the evening when it starts to get dim, and the battery life is surprisingly solid! I’ve been out biking for hours at a time and didn’t even have to swap to the spare battery that came with it, but it’s a wonderful peace of mind to have on longer trips. So far I’ve mainly been using the handlebar mount and non-waterproof mounting case, but the camera comes with a wide variety of mounts and accessories to suit whatever you’re needing it for.Thankfully I haven’t had too many incidents to have to test the durability, but the camera and mounting gear held up without even budging after a spill on my bike on my way home from work, and the microphone caught all of my curse words at my scraped up knee 🤣Long story short, if you want an affordable and reliable camera for outdoor adventures, this one is a great fit for the job!

Excellent value for the price, and competitive with other sports cameras
I bought this to film travel videos and reviews. So, many of the included attachments and accessories didn’t interest me… I chose this camera because the reviews led me to believe it’s competitive with GoPro cameras, but far less expensive. The reviews were right. The video quality is excellent. The lens captures a very wide area, horizontally, which is a plus if you want viewers to see absolutely everything. And, if you’re using video editing software, you can always crop out what you don’t want viewers to see.The camera has a high color sensitivity and it’s well-balanced, so nothing looks washed-out. My video editing software automatically stabilizes what I film, so I don’t know about this camera’s stabilization features, and – if that were important to me – I might buy an Akaso that mentions that as a feature. The manuals that come with this camera are best for people accustomed to using sports/action video cameras. I just looked at it and blinked. It wasn’t even close to what I needed to understand how this camera works. A PDF manual can be downloaded, online, and it’s available in many languages. But frankly, I went to YouTube for far clearer instruction. In fact, that’s the best way to figure out what all the bonus attachments are, which come with the camera. You’ll also pick up useful tips from some videos… things that I never expected from such an inexpensive camera. My only disappointment is the tripod attachment, if I don’t want to use the waterproof case that comes with the camera. The basic tripod attachment covers the viewing screen when the camera is mounted on a tripod. So, after mis-estimating the vertical coverage I was getting, I put the camera into the waterproof case and then attached it to my tripod. That worked fine, and I saw no distortion – or difference at all, really – between what I filmed without the waterproof case, and the footage with the case. (Well, except that the waterproof case made it possible to see exactly what I was filming. For me, that’s kind of important.)Also, don’t expect the clip-on attachment to hold the camera securely to a pocket or shirt collar. The camera is heavy enough to tilt forward, so – even with a fairly stiff pocket or collar – you’ll be filming what’s on the ground, not straight ahead. It will probably work fine with a strap (or other gear) designed to work with that kind of clip and this kind of camera. But, those issues are related to the myriad attachments included with this camera. Most competing cameras expect you to pay more for those, and don’t include them as Akaso does.In other words, the free/included attachments are great for people who will mount the camera to a helmet, etc. They don’t work as well for me, so the attachments get a three-star review from me, at best. However, the camera itself is a solid four-star product, at least, and I’m tempted to give it five stars. It’s an excellent choice, regardless of price.I particularly like how small the camera is. It fits comfortably in a large pocket or small purse, and the waterproof case is easy to use, while protecting the camera lens from scratches when you’re not using it.After seeing the quality of this camera and the videos it produces, I wouldn’t even think about paying more for a competing brand. Some online videos – comparing this camera with another brand that costs about twice as much – show a slightly better image quality in the higher-priced camera. Also, the sound quality seems much better in the higher-priced camera. But, for my use, neither of those things would convince me to spend the extra money. The Akaso EK 7000 4K does everything I’d expected it to, and the quality is far better than I’d hoped, as well.If you’re not sure whether you’ll use a video camera like this, I think this is an ideal starter model at an affordable price. For most people – including travelers and sports enthusiasts – this may be the only video camera you’ll need.High quality, low price, lots of extras… that’s a winning combination for me. I’m very pleased.

    Day 1 Reactions
    1) Good heavens there are SO MANY ACCESSORIES! I love it but also.. how am I going to carry all this around?! I’m going to need to buy a case, because this doesn’t come with one.2) There are features in my menu that I don’t see in the online manual or in YouTube videos from others. Well, just ONE specific feature that I’ve noticed so far: there isn’t a single “timelapse” menu option which was apparently the camera taking a single photo ever x amount of seconds. The issue as a YouTuber mentioned, is that the camera doesn’t stitch those photos together automatically like on a GoPro. You have to stitch the photos yourself on the computer. But I guess that’s why AKASO added a NEW timelapse option… Video time lapse! This does in fact result in a video (mp4 file) that is a timelapse fast movie. Yay! On the screen, when in VIDEO timelapse, you’ll first see 00:00 and it will update for every 1 second of video you’ll have after it’s all stitched together.3) Picture quality: from the screen it looks like my car dashcam. Not great. Even though I’m on 4K it looks like a bad quality version of 4K. But that’s the tiny screen. Maybe the tiny screen just doesn’t have great resolution. When viewing the videos and pictures on the computer… eh, it’s alright, but don’t think you’ll be recording a Hollywood level movie. In semi-good light it already started to struggle. This works best in bright light and then very quickly takes a dip in quality when it starts getting darker. But still useable! The video noise can be decreased with noise reduction software.4) Micro SD card is very difficult to get in. It needs that last tiny little bit of a push that’s super difficult. I need to press the edge of my nail against the thin edge of the Micro SD card and most times I’m slipping off it. I’m using a wooden toothpick that has been the most helpful. But it shouldn’t be THAT hard to get the Micro SD card in. I use a Micro SD card in my drone and it’s nowhere near as difficult to fully insert.4.1) Speaking of Micro SD cards, I know people have mixed results using cards larger than the recommended 32GB. I’m using a “Gigastone 128GB V30 Micro SDXC U3 Class 10 I” and so far it’s worked with everything I’ve tried. Maybe the mixed results are because some people are using older firmware on the camera or maybe certain brands of MicroSD cards above 32GB just don’t work.5) It was annoying at first having the power button also be the menu button, but you get used to it FAST and I like that they’ve kept it simple – less to break. It’s a bit annoying that every time I want to get to settings I have to cycle through all the video/photo modes first, but again it’s a small price to pay for the low cost of the device and the fact that there is less that can break down. Also, how often would I even be in the menu? I’ve set it to what I want to use for most all my videos, no need to keep changing it. (Unless the date/time resets when battery dies?! That I don’t actually know yet!)It’s not the best camera in the world compared to all other action cameras, but at it’s price point it’s fantastic. And really, in the action camera world, you’re not looking to get Alexa/Red quality footage anyway. It’s MUCH MUCH MUCH closer to the quality of a GoPro than a a GoPro is compared to a cinema camera. And with a little tweaking in your video editing software, it’ll look even better. For a fraction of the cost of a GoPro. At this point I think you just pay for the GoPro name. This is a great camera if you do a little client work and need time lapse footage of something being built or torn down. Or if you like recording your sports adventures.Very happy with this after 1 day (Fingers crossed for the other days!)
