Excellent value, sharp, crisp, and better quality than I expected for the price.
Just received mine today to replace an older Acer display that is going on to other uses in my house. Installed the base no problem, hooked it up, no problem and off and running. First thing I noticed is that it is much brighter and crisper than the LCD screen it replaced. I am not an expert on color reproduction and all that. It seemed fine right out of the box. I did some minor tweaking in my NVIDIA control panel to tone down the brightness by about 3% but other than that, nothing.I play an online multiplayer game and I immediately noticed how much smoother this was and everything looked almost new. My old LCD was still a pretty good 5ms monitor, but this one transitions so much better.Other notes:-Using a DVI-D connection to my computer – I have a lot of cables lying around and for me the included VGA cable goes into the electronics recycle bin-This monitor uses a power “brick” but it is so small, it’s more like a power “mouse”-The base is great, my old monitor used to shake when the washing machine went into spin cycle. This one doesn’t move a bit.-For the money, if you are looking for a good monitor without a ton of features, just want to plop it on your desk and be done with it, this is a great deal.-This monitor appears to be exclusive to Amazon.-It’s a very nice design, very pleasing to the eye.-I have this side-by-side with a very high quality HP display and I think the two are comparable. With my old display, when I switched from one to the other, it looked like going from a shiny new car to an old rusted beater.

A great 25″ IPS monitor that functions great for high quality images
I am not a monitor know-it-all but I did do research before purchasing a fairly cheap 1080p IPS monitor for my newly built computer designed primarily for gaming. This monitor has worked perfectly since taking it out of the box and as I write this review almost two months later.Pros:-very cheap for this type of monitor-was very easy to set up (worried that the single thin mount would force the screen to wobble but it does not at all)-beautiful 1080p crisp images and colors-great for anything below super competitive gaming as it requires a better response time but not an issue for me-Minimal bezel makes this monitor look gorgeous when on-Light weight and easy to move around without lifting up and without fear of scratching my desk due to well designed bottom-Didn’t need to adjust settings for better image quality. I tried but the stock settings seemed the best-No backlight problems on my monitor that I read was an issue with other monitors. Dark screens are crispCons:-Viewing angles range up and down is not that much but there have been times I wanted it to be higher if I sat higher in my chairThis monitor is highly recommended by me since I use it for several hours every day for movies as well as gaming. My favorite quality has to be the minimal bezel and LED screen that makes it seem like a high quality image is sitting directly in front of you without looking at an ugly monitor. I recommend this product highly for it’s extremely low price for it’s quality.

Excellent monitor by Acer
Excellent value for money. I suspect this to be one of the best choices of monitors in the category. I am very satisfied with it’s performance and have found no evidence of leaks around the perimeter (as a review I had read might have suggested). Picture image is absolutely steady and color and detail are vivid and sharp. The frame around the image is arguably the thinnest in its category. This is a big plus when it comes to long sessions of work. Also, it would be a plus when using multiple monitors. As I expected, there is a relatively wide viewing angle from any direction – so there is little need to adjust the stand constantly. Again, during long sessions of work I change my angle and height of viewing quite a bit, the wide viewing angle is much more comfortable in such cases. One small issue I have noticed while testing is that I would have preferred a height adjustment on the stand. My preferred viewing height would have been about an inch shorter than the fixed 4.5 inch height (bottom of image to desktop). Sometimes I have to place the monitor on a standard tabletop at work, which is particularly where this need becomes apparent. I thought of mentioning this only for the manufacturers, but it is not really a big problem since I am quite accustomed to it even at this time, three weeks after putting the monitor into use. Since I use this monitor with a new build, its generic drivers were installed by Windows during assembly. However, I replaced these with the Acer drivers. Regardless of how impressed I was with this monitor, I have to state that although I have been a computer builder and business user/enthusiast for many years, I have not been able to figure out how to use the physical buttons on the monitor to tweak its settings – I gave up and used the Windows Control Panel instead. The monitor comes well tuned and does not need much or any tweaking out of the box. Overall, I think most customers would be entirely satisfied with buy and I recommend it highly.

Positives:1. Good viewing angles.2. Nice large size is comfortable for daily use.3. Excellent color and brightness4. Excellent price for the size and qualityNegatives:1. I got the 24 inch and the pixel density is a bit low at 1080p. I can notice pixelation when I sit close to it2. Stand does not allow for up and down height adjustments, only tilting3. 1080p/60hz is not good for gaming, nor did I buy it for gaming. Try to go with 1440P, 144hz if you want a monitor for gaming and your computer can drive it.4. Only one mode where you can adjust your settings and the brightness is difficult to adjust from there. Too many steps and the buttons are annoying to use. Not a problem if you don’t really need to change your brightness.

Monitors have THIN Bezel = highly recommended for 3 monitor surround gaming setups (5760×1080)!The monitors controls are crisp and hidden out of the way. Color, brightness and response time (4ms GtG) are all good. I see no ghosting while gaming. All 3 monitors came WITHOUT dead pixels or defects. The only downside I can see is the dim blue light (‘power on’ LED) on the front of the monitor. Some gamers might be distracted by the little lights while gaming. EASY FIX = I personally used black electrical tape, cut 3 tiny squares and covered the blue LEDs. The black tape blends 100% into the black monitor frame = I can’t see the the tape unless I turn on the room’s lights (which I don’t do while gaming). While some might want higher resolution, 1080 is IDEAL for 3 monitor setups! 3x 1080 monitors = 5760×1080…which is close to 4K in terms of overall resolution. In fact, I don’t think any GPU can handle 3x 4K monitors in surround configuration while gaming! There are better gaming monitors out there, but these easily win the ‘best bang for the buck’ award! Especially for 3x surround monitor setups!

Others have already mentioned the thin bezel, good viewing angle and colors etc, so I will mention the “things I wish were better about this product”.CONS:1) The white is retina-searing, blinding white. Everything else is a good color and contrast except this hellish white. I have brightness at 3/100 and contrast at 0/100 now and f.lux running, to get a tolerable level of white. The other colors are still great despite this low level of contrast.2) I can hear constant static beneath the audio when headphones are plugged into monitor. Persists despite reinserting at varying depths. Whenever audio comes through so does that constant buzzing static. Loud enough to be annoying within the first 5 seconds. This problem does not occur if I plug headphones directly into motherboard.3) The stand is higher than is technically ergonomic (Optometrists recommend the center of the screen should be slightly below your eye level to decrease eye strain) with no way to correct except to raise your chair up, which squishes your thighs into the underside of the desk. The monitor base stand allows for pivoting of angle up and down at the joint where stand and monitor join, but the joint where desk and stand join is stiff and has no pivoting capabilities.
