It’s everything I wanted it to be
First off, I haven’t been paid to write this. There are so many versions of this product that it’s hard to find one that’s genuine. Many complaints have been around false advertising- storage, speed, number of games. THIS one has all that’s promised. Battery life is great, and so many of my favorite games from when I was a kid. Worried about saving games? Don’t be. Read the instructions: while in a game, press Function + R1.

good for psx and below
first off there are really 30,000 games, however most are either duplicates (thankfully for the older systems), games that require functionality not present in this device (warioware twisted is a notable example) or not particularly popular titles. the sd card size is a lie as well, it says in the listing and the printing on the card that its 256, however its only about 80. functionality wise it runs everything flawlessly below the playstation 1, however above that (dreamcast, n64, psp) is hit and miss, n64 emulation in particular is very shoddy, with sound and graphical bugs being very common. as far as i can tell, the “otg” port is completely non-functional, and i wouldnt be surprised if i opened it up to find it not connected to anything at all. But, despite all these complaints, i found the software to be very easy to use, and adding games, while requiring the sd card to be removed and placed in another device, is as simple as putting the roms/isos in the proper folder (you will need to delete games you wont be playing to do this though, its packed full out of the box). i dont recommend buying this as there are likely better options at similar prices, but if you do anyway, i dont think youll regret it.

So, honestly I don’t understand how they get all these games on there, but I admit it’s pretty cool as I would have no way of knowing how to do so, myself. 5-stars for the amount and USUAL quality of the games provided.I like the compact size of the machine, but it doesn’t QUITE fit right for my hands. MAYBE a teenager’s size hands would do better but then there’s also the problem of the tactile feel of some of these buttons – particularly the reverse-side triggers. They have a significantly unpleasant click when pressed. Fortunately with these retro-style games MOST of the time you don’t really use them.My unit arrived with the screen partially loose 🙁 I could tell this is basically a raspberry-pi style build, but that’s okay as it still has a professional feel overall. As to the loose screen, originally I tried a couple of TINY spots of hot glue, but that didn’t hold forever. The second time around I used some gorilla glue all along the top edge, and that seems to be working. It’s weird, because the layer of glue that was already on the back of the screen certainly seemed sticky enough to hold forever – maybe it just wasn’t quite touching the interior, or something.I don’t LOVE the power and volume buttons, but they work and I don’t think they’re going to break.The battery lasts a forever-long time per each recharge… I wish there was an HDMI-out port available…. There’s apparently an external controller input, but I haven’t tried that…. The blue light indicating power-on status is almost like a LASER when the unit is complete darkness – so, don’t leave it sitting on your bedside or you might wake up to the blue spot on your ceiling 😀
