Solid WebCam for Mac Mini M1
Yes, the camera works with Apple’s Mac Mini with the M1 chip running macOS Sonoma 14.0. I read mixed results in the reviews and questions. I’m guessing those who had issues missed some basic setup steps. Here’s my experience, and I hope it helps others.I connected the camera to one of the two USB ports on the back of the Mini. I have a USB hub for other components, but I plugged the camera directly into the computer. I then tried FaceTime and Zoom, and the camera worked, although the image appeared very grainy, especially for a 1080P unit. I did a reboot, but that didn’t help.I then went to the Emeet website to figure out how to adjust the image quality. I downloaded their EMEETLINK software for Mac. Once installed, the image quality improved. I could use the software to change things such as sharpness, contrast, and white balance. I still don’t consider it crystal clear 1080P, but it’s good enough for video chats. Low-light performance is lacking.The other reason I got a webcam was to use Siri because the Mac Mini doesn’t have a microphone. I went into settings to enable Siri and Location Services so that Siri would be more productive and accurate. Hitting the Siri button caused the microphone icon to appear at the top of the screen, and Siri worked.The C960 is a solid little webcam for the money that works fine with the Mac Mini M1 as long as you download the EMEETLINK software. I would not recommend this to anyone looking to do podcasts or YouTube videos. For that, use the iPhone and Continuity Camera feature built into the Mac, or get a higher-end 4k cam. But if you want a simple camera and microphone for the Mac Mini, this is a solid choice for the money.

This N60 Webcam by Nexigo is a beauty! I love how easy it functions and installs. The picture is bright and sharp. It sits securely on top of my large Dell monitor and is easily adjustable. The best feature for me is the zoom. It gives me the exact minute zoom that I needed over the N660P. They are very similar in sharp 1080P pictures and brightness. All are adjustable. The focus is great and comes with software. Their customer service is awesome as well. Love this company and its excellent products.

A very nice webcam!
I’m no expert when it comes to webcams, but this one is exactly what I needed. I like the picture and the quality build is good. Also it comes with a software to adjust colors, brightness, contrast and other settings. When I first started using it, I had an issue, but it was resolved on its own, the picture froze with the minimal movement of the camera (like when I’m adjusting the position), and I thought it was defective, but it went away, and the camera has been working perfectly.Also, I have other Nexigo products which I like, and the customer service is pretty good. Highly recommended

Fisheye Issue
The first time I tried it, I noticed that the image was distorted. The attached image is truncated, but notice the curve on the left side. I sent an email to their support team, and I received the following reply:The “fisheye” effect is quite normal on webcams with wider fields of view. This is because of how the lens is formed to allow for a wider field of view. Unfortunately, this is a physical limitation to most webcams with wide fields of view and there is no setting that would be able to offset this for you since it is based on how the physical lens is shaped.Please note how they quantify with the word MOST, there are wide field of view webcams that do not have fisheye. I would not recommend this model; you will find the fisheye distortion very annoying very quickly.Also, the paid reviewers do not mention this issue.

Nice upgrade from laptop camera
So far, so good! This was a relatively cheap option but has provided a much-needed video upgrade from my laptop’s built-in camera. I positioned it on top of my monitor which is much more ergonomic, as the monitor and camera are directly in front of me – rather than my laptop’s camera, which is off to my right side. With at least 5 to 6 hours of Zoom calls a day, I probably should’ve upgraded my camera and positioning years ago. I appreciate the privacy cover to close at the end of the day. Video quality is sharp and I’ve been easily able to connect to this camera for all of my Zoom and Google Meet calls. I can’t comment on the audio quality as I use a separate headset for audio. No concerns with it so far… I have only been using it for about three weeks so we shall see about the longevity, but I’m liking it so far!

bought this to replace the 30fps model of this camera as it died after 1 year of use. so far its been worrking fine. I have had it for around 6 months and use it weekly. good quality for Zoom and Youtube streaming. Auto focus is ok could be faster but good the the price. hope it last longer then the 30fps verson. do not recommend using it to record video for youtube just seems to be a little off on the colors, but is good for streaming
