Great Wireless Keyboard that feels great to type on.
I have tried many keyboards, I took a chance and got this. I just plugged it in. The switches are buttery smooth, the lighting effects are great. The keyboard looks, good, feels well built, the volume knob is great. First impression: Excellent. It’s going to take me awhile to figure out the finer aspects, but I like it better than the Logitech MX which was my last favorite keyboard. You can swap everything on this, so I think maybe keycaps that the light can shine through, software to better control the lighting, but that is all superficial. I’m already in love. I use this as a Home entertainment keyboard in my living room. Not to heavy to use on the couch, but fee;s solid. Comes with all you need for any set up. Thumbs up.

Great First Mechanical Keyboard
I just bought the M4 Mac Mini a couple of months ago, and I was in the market for a new keyboard to go along with it and figured that going with a hot-swappable mechanical keyboard would be good for repairability and future customization. The build quality feels sturdy, and I don’t feel particularly bothered that the body is made of plastic instead of metal. The keycaps are well made, and the mechanical switch feel is leagues better than any other keyboard I’ve used. I went with the brown switches to get more tactile feedback, and while I haven’t tried any other switches and as such don’t have a good frame of reference, they do feel pretty good to type on. I have no trouble using the keyboard over bluetooth, and it has very good standby battery life. While the backlight doesn’t have any label shine through, it is rather bright and is easy to program. The keyboard software is easy to use and rather robust, and I was easily able to map the F4 key to open Raycast instead of the launchpad, and after a bit of fiddling (mostly due to my own inexperience) turn the knob into a sleep button. The macro layer support also let me turn the home/end keys into dual use pg up/pg down keys, which mitigated their physical absence on the board. One gripe i have is that the board indicates that caps lock is enabled by switching the light behind the key to white, which is very hard to see from behind the left shift key, especially when I’m using a lighter backlight color. Overall I am very satisfied, and this is a very good value for a wireless mechanical board with a numpad.

Really nice sound and feel
These are really nice. I got the Jupiter Brown switches and the bump is really gentle. Very marbly and creamy sounding and not loud. Its audible for sure but it honestly sounds so pleasant. Packed with foam so it rounds out any harshness and brings down the volume. If you want it to be louder, you can remove the foams.I would say this is ready to to use without any mods. No stabilizer rattle and switches are smooth. With it also being wireless, the pre built for $91 is seriously hard to beat and worth the extra $$ over barebones option.

Fantastic Sound and Feel – Better than Base V5
I originally bought this as a gift for someone who was getting into mechanical keyboards. I own a base V5 that I used to use as my main keyboard, and had never tried the Banana switches, so I opted for that as I knew it had good reviews. While the sound of the V5 is good, the V5 Max with the banana switches is fantastic, less abrupt and clacky. The banana switches are also very satisfying to type with, so much that I ordered a second V5 Max to keep for myself. Overall a fantastic keyboard.

Nice keyboard, but bluetooth flakey on Mac
I initially configured this keyboard to work on a Mac Mini M4, using bluetooth, and ran into all sort of problems. The keyboard would freeze after a few minutes of inactivity. A few times there was a huge latency between hitting a key, and seeing the result on the screen. Reboot the Mac, and it wouldn’t seethe keyboard, so I had to go through the configuration process again.I finally gave up, and just used the dongle on a USB C port on the Mac. (See photo on the right side of the Mac.)Works fine (so far). I like the sound and the feel of the mechanical keyboard.

I’ll never go back
I bought the most popular mechanical keyboard on Amazon for ~$30 a year ago. It was my first “mechanical” keyboard, and I didn’t like how loud it was (it came with blue switches). The keys also were the same as the crappy keyboard work gave me. They shouldn’t even be able to label it as a mechanical.I wanted to give mechanical keyboards another shot and spend a bit more on one and got this one, and it has absolutely blown me away. It feels amazing and is high quality build. I got the brown switches and love the feel. The keys are extremely responsive. The setup was easy, connectivity was smooth, I love the usb c port. For $115 this was worth every penny to me as a work in software and use my keyboard 8 hours a day. This keyboard has ruined all others for me and I will never go back. I cannot speak to how much difference there is in this keyboard vs the custom builds, but this Keychron vs the cheap $30 Amazon one I got was night and day. My wife, who isn’t obsessed with tech like I am, tried it and actually smiled and said “wow”, despite me hyping it up before her test drive. Highly recommend!!!!
