Great Quality on a Budget
This is from a house full of GamersIn my Gamer-House we have high-end headsets and Cheapo units as well. The Redragon H888 doesn’t have a high-end price, but it definitely (IMHO) has a few high-end features.The Pros – it offers 3.5mm wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity options, has 7.1 Surround Sound (!) that delivers good to great (read immersive) audio with 40mm drivers AND it is super lightweight – only weighs 168 grams (read comfortable). Battery life is pretty good. Oh – it has dual microphones! (One detachable and one hidden).Cons (for some in the house) is the sound and weight. With it being so lightweight you might THINK it’s a Cheapo, but that’s not the case. It definitely has Redragon quality. The house was split on the sound, but I liked it.So, that said, I can definitely say that this headset is worth the money. It is a solid unit if you are looking for budget wireless gaming headset. If you want to spend $$$ on MLG stuff (Logitech G-Pro, Turtle Beach or HyperX) okay, but if you want to get your nephew a nice headset that works, here you go…

OK headset, once you tweak the sound
First off, I haven’t used a wireless headset in awhile because I got tired of short battery life. So far, this one has been OK. I haven’t used it long enough to see how the battery does yet.It’s extremely lightweight and feels OK over my head and ears. I tried hooking it to my laptop via Bluetooth and the sound was laggy and distorted, or it would just disconnect after a few minutes. I used the dongle instead, and it worked fine. It disconnects and shuts off quickly on its own if no audio is playing. This presumably extends the battery life, but I really just found it annoying. This may or may not be an issue for you depending on your listening habits.Then, the sound itself didn’t sound that good. There wasn’t much bass, for one, and it just had a “weak” sound overall. I went into sound settings and tweaked the sound a bit and it sounded OK, but still not as good as some other ones that I’ve used.I’d probably skip this one next time.

Nice headset
This headset is very comfortable and fits well. The materials seem to have good fit and finish. For everyday use this is a nice set and has performed well. Audio quality is good and mic seems good as well. I think it is a good buy for the money.

These came in handy when our son broke his father’s other headphones. He was able to connect them to his PS5 easily and they worked immediately. He says they are noise canceling and fit comfortably. The mic works good but he said it comes off a little too easily and doesn’t fit snug enough. All in all his now early Christmas present is a hit.
