Seems better Than Similar Compact Mice
This mouse is very similar in size to common Tecknet and other compact mice, but there are some differences that seem to make it better. It is slightly wider than some, a little less tall, and has a very nice extended rest on the right side for the ring finger. This shape makes it much easier to position correctly in my large hand. The fact that it has an alkaline battery included is a very nice touch too.I have not had this mouse long, but so far it functions flawlessly. Of course I am concerned about its possible longevity, since ALL other low cost mice I have bought in the past six or so years have failed with jumpy scroll-wheel action after about a year (a very pronounced and widely noted problem with Tecknet brand mice). I have become very irritated with this constant failure issue with low cost mice, so I will absolutely come back here and change this rating to 1 star if this one develops the same problem.Of course right now it is still working fine, so I can only hope that the Amazon name on it signals that it is a better product than that other garbage!

Mouse works fine with my Dell Inspiron 16
Going back to school, I needed a mouse to go with my new Dell Inspiron 16, with Windows 11. Your results may vary based on equipment and operating system.This is your basic USB/roller/5 button mouse which essentially works as advertised. It came with a single AA battery, so you can get to work immediately “out of the box” — that’s a nice touch. There is a holder for the USB adapter “dongle” inside the battery compartment (for storage, when the dongle is not plugged into the computer). This feature is shown on the main Amazon description page. At 3.2oz this mouse is lighter than my everyday Logitech M705 mouse at 4.7 oz (some of the weight difference in the latter’s is using 2 (not one) AA batteries). The Amazon mouse is a little smaller (in all dimensions, but not tiny) and is not quite as rounded as the Logitech, yet the Amazon mouse has a more compact feel which is what I wanted.Once the dongle was inserted in to the computer’s USB port, no additional setup was needed. The top two buttons operate correctly (I use the default “left” as primary button). As do the two left side buttons for navigating webpages, which I do use frequently (FYI: The side picture is purposefully overexposed — otherwise I was unable to show the buttons). The roller works as a standard up and down scroll, and when depressed acts a a “speed” scroll (frankly, I never use this function, but confirmed it does operate as such. The roller can also operate as a single/double click button to open close apps or tab (which I never use, either).I expected the button behind the roller to operate the same as my Logitech M705 mouse (free/restricted scroll), but no, it is a weakly documented “DPI” button.The only problem that I have (which cost a star) is the lack of explanation of the “DPI” button’s purpose and utility in the instructions. While the instructions do indicate 5 “step settings” (press to select the next higher or reset to the lowest setting of the different modes), there is no cue (e.g. number of blinks to indicate what “mode” you’re in, so you just have to “try ’til you like it”), and nowhere in the documentation does it indicate the need for such a function or when to change “modes”. I had to come back and scour the Amazon page to find that the “Advanced optical sensor has adjustable DPI for preferred sensitivity and works well on most surfaces”. So does this mean the you adjust the DPI for the users responsiveness or for the surface the use is working on??? Personally, I like the free/restricted scroll action of the Logitech, or at least a option.For the price, save for the “DPI” button, I can recommend this product.

Great mouse
I have a fairly large hand and this fits my hand better than any other mouse I remember.

I bought this as a replacement of the replacement for a $150 gaming mouse that decided to stop working only a couple of days after the warranty ran out. for a razer mouse only to have it completely stop working within 2-3 days of the warranty ending. I saw this for just under $10 so thought I would give it a try. It has almost all of the buttons that my minimalist gaming mouse had. I absolutely LOVE the mouse wheel on this and it is basically the same as the expensive mouse. I love the way that it fits in my hand as well. I literally had no set up with my computer, I just plugged the dongle in and went. I personally did not have to make any adjustments to the speed of the cursor. This mouse comes with what I consider a pretty thick little booklet as well. I will be completely honest here, I probably will never read it so I do not know how detailed it is or if it is just in many different languages. I might just have to buy another 1 or 2 of these just to have spares for when this decides to no longer work because I always end up wasting money to find replacements of things. If you do not need tons of buttons on your mouse, or really only need a basic mouse that is comparable quality to some of the more expensive ones, I highly recommend this mouse. It does take a AA battery & they send you one with the mouse. For me that is ok because honestly this is less of a pain than having to have some charging dock take up space on my desk & always getting in the way.

The Amazon Basics ergonomic wireless mouse is lightweight, easy to set up, and comfortable for extended use. The adjustable DPI is a nice feature for customizing sensitivity. While it works smoothly, the build feels a bit basic, but it’s great for everyday tasks at an affordable price.
