Good cell phone. Stronger than others.
Package arrive on time. Surprising. Regarding Cat S62, looks strong. Is a little bit heavier than other phones. Some times seems processor slows down but recover in a few seconds. Very practical left center button programmable.

This is a slow phone with old hardware
Cat phones usually have a good build quality but in this case is not. Sim card cover is all the time pop out the phone is slow and camera is really bad. Is a simple phone with old hardware android 10 is a joke in this days.

Durable phone
Got this because one of the kids is a little less gentle with technology than I’d like. No sense in buying crazy expensive phones if kids are just going to rough the phone up. So this was a perfect balance of budget, battery, and durability.Pros+ Tough. This phone has seen its share of hits and drops and scratches. And it still works really well. The screen hasn’t cracked. The buttons are all in tact. The fingerprint sensor still works. We should get a couple good years out of rough use.+ Features. For a budget phone, this has some decent features. The fingerprint sensor. Full HD screen. Waterproof. SD card capability. Dual rear cameras. For the price it’s hard to beat those features.+ Function. The phone works great with T-Mobile. It says it’s unlocked, but it’s branded in the OS as T-Mobile. That worked out great for us. I don’t think it said that information in the product description, so be aware of which bands can and cannot be compatible.Cons+ Accessories are a bit difficult to find since this isn’t a mainstream brand for phones.

CAT 62 “New Old Stock”- UPDATE- 30 Days DEAD
Update: This phone is defective per straight talk and T-mobile. Will not allow incoming calls, doesn’t even ring, straight to VM. HOURS wasted trying to get it sorted online and over the phone and missing calls for over a month when it was “working correctly on their end”. After 2 sim cards (that I had to buy), I was told that the phone is bad and to return it and buy a new one. This is now just e-waste that I have to dispose of.Original Review-I didn’t realize that this phone was so old when I got it-2021 was when it was introduced, so older than my previous phone. 5G? Nope 4G LTE. Latest Android OS? Nope Android 10 that updated to 11 during set up (sucking up precious storage) and apparently will not update further, so an alien feeling OS that I have to learn that is 2 versions “extinct” from my Motorola that was starting battery swell of death and needed replacement before this one.The box I received for this phone was labeled with Metro by T-mobile and while technically “unlocked”, the pre-loaded apps for T-mobile and T-mobile Business aren’t easily removed and to continue setting up the phone, you have to agree to “T-mobile’s Terms and Conditions” or you can’t finish setting it up.The Bullit/ CAT Mobile site is inaccessible to me- I get security and warnings with no page loads when going directly to or through a Google link, so getting information is difficult and nothing helpful in the box.The best attributes are the ruggedness of the design and it does feel substantial and like it could take some abuse. With that is one of my least favorite things- the raised border around the screen that makes scrolling with my finger on the side “less than pleasant” because of the ridge. The battery life is MUCH shorter than my previous Moto and needs recharging every other day with almost no use. I’m used to 3-4 days (or more) for the last 5 years so the battery life definitely seems a giant step back. It does have QI wireless recharging (old version, not Qi2) and after some nudging on the charge pad and restarting it, that worked well.It DOES have NFC capabilities which is amazing considering the age of the phone and that has worked for me. That is probably the best part of this phone in addition to the heavy duty feel.Googling the phone to get information brings up lots of complaints about battery life and the phone eventually refusing to charge, so this has not replaced my need in the long term for a cell phone and I’m still considering a newer Google Pixel or possibly a Samsung Fold (though my early Galaxy didn’t do well by me) that has current features, including 5G and a camera that is a bit better than potato quality. It’s OK if you’re looking for a workhorse phone and don’t need the latest OS or features, but iPhone it’s not.

Very sturdy work phone
This is perfect for laborers or just people who are clumsy and drop their phones a lot. I tested this out by dropping it off our second story porch into the grass. It didn’t have a scratch on it. I also really like that it can withstand extreme temperatures because sometimes I forget my phone in the car and don’t have to worry much about it. This is just smart enough for my needs while still being cheap and not so stressful to carry around a job site. I don’t have to worry about breaking or losing it, and it does all the basic things I need. I felt like the camera was pretty good quality for the price, and I like the special button on the side that you can program to quickly open certain apps that you use a lot. Overall, I like this phone a lot and have zero complaints.

Sturdy, Heavy Phone With Limited Features
This phone is reasonably heavy, even heavier than my Samsung Galaxy S8. However it’s very sturdy – with metal edges, and feels solid. It’s rated to comply with both the IP68 and MIL-STD-810H standards, which is uncommon amongst consumer phones. The on-screen labels are helpful for a first-time user, even though the side buttons aren’t marked. The button mappings are also intuitive. I didn’t find an easy way to map an application to a single-press of the side orange button, but was able to set up the LED to activate on double-press, and the messaging app to open on long-press. I like this feature.I didn’t expect that this would be a T-Mobile phone; it wasn’t labelled as such. This phone is also 4G only, which feels like a missed opportunity with 5G expanding so quickly. While it does support wireless charging, it didn’t stick to my in-car magnetic charger. I had to have a metallic ring stuck to the back of my S8, but for this phone, there’s not a completely smooth surface on the back of the phone to allow such a magnetic ring to stick well. The SIM and SD card slot is difficult to insert. It also requires that the phone be upside down to install, which is not intuitive.Performance is good, as snappy as my existing phone. The fingerprint sensor in the middle of the back of the phone works well.Overall, a decent phone if you can look past the drawbacks.

** support phone numbers do not work, no way to reach customer service!recently tested out the CAT S62 Rugged Cell Phone, and here’s a breakdown of its features to save you scrolling through a book of details and my experience using it:The Good Stuff:- The phone is durable with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.- Performance is solid with Snapdragon 215 and 4GB RAM.- The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 11 hours of talk time.- The 5.7-inch display works well with wet fingers or gloves.Opportunities:- It does not include an infrared thermometer as some other models do.- The camera quality and processing speed are not the best compared to newer phones.- Requires a separate app for visual voicemail management.Bottom Line: Durable phone with great battery life, but not the fastest or most advanced and no customer support available!

At the time of writing this review, this Unifone CAT brand rugged work smart phone costs $179.99.This phone is built like a tank. It has a rugged design that is perfect for those who need a phone that can withstand harsh environments. The IP68 rating – Ingress Protection 68 rating means a device can survive against dust and up to 1.5 metres of water for 30 minutes, making it ideal for outdoor adventures or tough job sites. I’ve dropped it several times, and it still looks and works like new. This phone is built to last. The 48MP camera on the CAT S62 is a great for work pictures, and good for personal pictures. It’s capable of capturing high quality photos with detail and vibrant colors. However, it’s no where close to todays modern superphones, understandably. The 4K video recording is impressive, providing clear and smooth footage.Battery life is always a concern with smartphones, but this phone excels in this area. With a smaller screen than superphones, with an equal size battery, it easily lasts me through a full day of heavy use of calls, texts, looking up manuals, taking pictures and videos and using teams. I’ve even been able to go two full days without charging it with moderate use.The phone has a Snapdragon 215 processor and 4GB of RAM, the CAT S62 delivers smooth and responsive performance. Apps open quickly, multitasking and switching between apps is quick, and there’s no noticeable lag for any apps. The phone comes equipped for NFC uses, like contactless payment. This was a feature I was thrilled to see, as a lot of low cost phones are missing this feature. The phone also has a huge 128gb internal storage, with a micro SD card slot expandable up to 256gb, something painfully missing from modern phones. The fingerprint reader works great and reliably, and makes unlocking the phone and locking down apps easy. The 5.7″ display is bright and clear from all angles, making it easy to read in all lighting conditions. This is important since a majority of the work I do is outdoors. The colors are vibrant and the resolution is sharp, providing an enjoyable viewing experience for videos, photos, and apps. This is doubly nice as the phone can be used for entertainment purposes as well.
