    Feature Packed Indoor Security Camera!
Short Version: The Eufy Security Indoor Cam E220 Pan and Tilt offers exceptional value, featuring 2K resolution, 360° pan, 96° tilt, digital zoom, two-way communication, and a siren. Its quick live view response, customizable settings for audio, notifications, recording, and motion tracking make it versatile for monitoring pets, children, and home security. The camera supports continuous 24/7 recording with local storage (up to 128GB microSD), adjustable audio settings, and a variety of notification options. Motion and sound detection can be fine-tuned for specific needs, and it includes a unique Pet Command feature. While it offers cloud storage, the camera’s full functionality doesn’t require a subscription, adding to its appeal. The device is easy to manage with settings for Wi-Fi, time, and device naming, and can be integrated with HomeKit. Optional HomeBase offers expanded storage and enhanced security features. This review is based on personal experience without endorsement or compensation from Eufy.Detailed Version: The Eufy Security Indoor Cam E220 Pan and Tilt (with digital zoom) is an excellent wired indoor camera. With up to 2K resolution, the ability to remotely pan, tilt, and zoom, two-way communication, and a siren, this camera is a beast for the price, especially on sale. I currently have 4 setup, though I can see myself getting more, and it covers everything I need. I’ve been using them for about 4 months now. My average time from clicking on a live view to it being live is about 1 second, many times it’s almost immediately. That will depend on your network strength and speed.PANWith 360° of panning and 5 levels of responsiveness, there isn’t any direction this camera can’t see. The camera does have a stopping point and you then must rotate it the opposite direction, but it is true 360° coverage.TILTWith 96° of tilt and 5 levels of responsiveness, you must position it right to get the optimal viewing angle, though there is a great deal of adjustability. I found that mounting it up high is less than ideal as the ability to pan down is somewhat limited when mounted up high. If mounted at the recommended 60” maximum if monitoring children/pets it will work just fine. If you must mount it higher than that and a wall or ceiling mount won’t work for you, you can always simply prop it up with something and tilt it forwardZOOMIt’s a digital zoom in a relatively inexpensive camera. It’s better than what I’ve experienced with other cameras, but don’t expect it to look as good zoomed in as it does zoomed out.NIGHT VISIONYou can set it to Auto which will turn on when the sensors determine it’s dark enough and will turn off when they sense it’s light enough. On, it’s just on all the time. Off, you guess it, it’s off all the time.MOTION DETECTIONYou can select specific activity zones to detect motion in, while ignoring others. It has some advanced technology built in and can even detect the difference between humans and pets, should you turn that feature on. You can select just humans, just pets, both, and/or all other motion. There are also 5 levels of sensitivity you can select. You are able to turn off motion detection as well.MOTION TRACKINGWhen turned on, if it detects motion, it will track it.TWO WAY COMMUNICATIONSelf-explanatory. You can talk to people, or pets, and they can reply. You can turn off the mic and/or speaker and can even turn off audio recording in the settings.SOUND DETECTIONWhen turned on, this camera will notify you of two things, all noise and/or crying. I’m hoping they expand this in the future to include things like glass breaking, smoke/CO2 detectors etc. but that this point, it’s just all sounds and/or crying. There are also 5 levels of sensitivity.PET COMMANDThis is a pretty nifty feature. When you select a certain zone under the Pet Command menu it will play an audio message of “Hey, what are you doing there?”. Sure, that’s pretty cool, but… you can also add a custom message that you record so it can literally say anything, in any voice. Or simply play an alarm if you record that as the message.WATERMARKOff (No timestamp or logo), Timestamp, or Timestamp and Logo.STREAMING QUALITYAuto (Adaptive based on its current connection strength, which can vary based on how many devices you have on your network at certain times). High, Medium, and Low. It doesn’t say exactly what these resolutions are.RECORDING QUALITY2K or 1080P. This is independent and has no impact on the Streaming Quality setting.CONTINOUS RECORDINGHonestly, one of the main reasons I went with this camera. This can continually record, 24/7. How much depends on your local storage and your Recording Quality setting. Each camera has a Micro SD card slot and can take up to a 128GB card, at the time of this review. Eufy recommends a class 10. I personally went with a SanDisk 128GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I. Once the card is full, it will overwrite the oldest data first. If there is something you want to save, be sure and download it! If continuous recording isn’t your thing, you can schedule recording times as well. I don’t know if there is a limit, but you can keep adding different times/days. Keep in mind that if motion detection is turned on, it will record those events as well.NOTIFICATIONSYou can opt in/out of notifications for Human, Pet, All other motion, Crying (sound), All sound. This is different that the sound detection setting, that simply will record if it detects those sounds. It won’t notify you unless you have the corresponding notification turned on. While I haven’t tested it, I am able to turn notifications on for sound without having the corresponding sound detection setting turned on. That leads me to believe I could be notified for a sound/motion, even if I didn’t have it set to record it. I like the ability to select whatever I want, so that’s neat. You can also select between 0 and 5 minutes for a delay in notifications, 0 will have no delay and notify you every time. There are also several options for how you receive notifications. Most efficient will notify you with text immediately. Full Effect will notify you with text immediately and follow up with a thumbnail if available. Include Thumbnail will give you text and thumbnail if available. There are also 9 tones to select from, one of those being Silent and one being default alert notification.GENERALYou can give each camera a custom name, turn on/off the status LED (off means no light comes on during live view, or when it’s recording, Storage (Local and Cloud settings), NOTE: Cloud recording does require a monthly subscription but IS NOT required for full functionality of this device. You can remotely access the live view and all recorded events on your local storage. Cloud may be advisable if you simply must have recorded events, it would come in handy if the SD card was removed or damaged (highly unlikely in most scenarios). There are settings for Homekit (Apple), Wi-Fi Connection, Time Settings, Mounting Guide (180° image rotation is in this setting), and About Device. You can also turn each camera on or off as needed. There are truly no hidden fees and no monthly subscriptions for all of these features, that was also a major reason I went with Eufy. You can add on a Homebase if you want, but it is not required, at least for anything I’ve done so far. There are some benefits to the HomeBase though, expandible storage being one of them. The current HomeBase 3 supports an incredible 16 terabytes of expandable storage (sold separately) as well as dual-layered AES-128 and RSA-1024 encryption. I do not have the HomeBase so I can’t speak on it much, but it looks quite impressive. With its daily security reports, and BionicMind which helps recognize known individuals from strangers (think facial recognition). Perhaps someday I’ll get one!Eufy did NOT send me anything, compensate me, or solicit this review in anyway… though, I wish they would send me stuff!

The best and most economical security cameras.
These are the best security cameras and very easy to use. I am not great with technical items, however, these were very easy and turn-key to set up. I have taken them with me on my travels abroad. You just plug in anywhere and open your app. They have multiple settings for sound, movement and they capture and record everything, even a fly flying around the lens. Also they rotate towards the movement and sound. The app is very user friendly and the annual cost for the service is very low. I have ordered more for family members and I spread the word to friends who did not think they could afford an expensive security service. I highly recommend these grab and go security cameras and the Eufy brand.

    10/10 and incredible price
For the cost, I didn’t expect such a solid product, genuinely.I have 3 in my apartment, bought 1 originally then bought 2 more.1) The app is amazing for reviewing events and saving them to your phone (as long as your home wifi is on).2) formatting the SD card is very easy.3) they record in great quality.4) the audio is very sensitive. If I turn sound detection to high, I get a notification when my A/C kicks on or when a car drives by (I’m on the 3rd floor).I love these little cameras and the app. I don’t leave a ton of reviews but they really deserve it.

Good depending on what you are specifically getting it for
I will say I am rating on a bit of a skew based on the price of the product on sale during the holidays for just under 30. For the price, I think it serves as a great camera with remote access and if it was just that, and if it was advertised as just that and that was what I got it for, 4 or 5stars would be easy. It has a large viewing angle, decent night vision, tilt and pan provide for even larger coverage. Those all make this a wonderful camera if all you need is a way to view an area and at 30$, that’s a decent value and I do not regret this purchase at all. That said, if you want it for security reasons, there are some limitations. I am not putting full faith in it if notifications and human detection are the main use. It’s AI detection is just too inconsistent. It has picked up an apron hanging on the side of my fridge as a person, but fails pretty much 100% of the time to detect a person walking down some steps; in that case, only the top portion of a border is unobstructed with the bottom being partially blocked by guardrails, but I would have hoped that arms, body and head would be good enough for detection. If it expects full body detection every time, that just isn’t very good for security reasons. The distance of detection is also not that great. Viewing the camera, it can see my kitchen from the living room where it is situated, and while it has full view of people at 15-30ft, it doesn’t detect them as such and so doesn’t notify or record if you aren’t doing 24/7 recording. It’s even a bit worse for night time detection it seems. The poor AI detection which it advertises is the major reason why it took a slight hit to the rating.I have pivoted to using this mainly to monitor my dog when I’m upstairs working and he is resting downstairs or just to check in on the house if I left and want to make sure I didn’t forget something like turning off a candle or stove. I don’t use it for notifying as it isn’t reliable enough for that. I could set it to detect all motion, but then I’d get way too many insignificant movements that are meaningless to me.App works well enough and I find intuitive and mostly responsive with quick access to live feeds. I wish this camera had definable viewing locations like it’s floodlight/cam cousin. If I move the camera using the app, I have to make sure to move it back every time. An ability to return to a “default” at least would be nice. It’s not a huge deal as I don’t have a need to move it often. I have it table height, but for anyone mounted at a corner at ceiling height, I’m sure it would be able to capture an entire room without much need for camera movement. You can also set it to pan on it’s own if that’s your preference.Notifications are fine and if you are on wifi, thumbnails are sent no problem as well. For whatever reason though, I can’t seem to get thumbnails to push when on mobile data and the thumbnails take a while to appear even going into the app and trying to look at each video. Not sure that’s an android issue or something else, but it is what it is. As I stated, I don’t bother with notifications anyway for this camera so it’s not a big deal. It’s a bit more annoying for my floodlight/cam which I do have set for notifications, but that’s not what this review is about.Setting activity zones that specifically trigger the recording is nice, but a bit limited. Only 2 activity zones can be configured and it detects the global camera detection options (human, pet or motion). Being able to set each activity zones for human, pet or motion would be a much welcome enhancement for me as I’m using this to monitor my dog and being able to see when he goes to the door for example would be nice so I can be notified to let him out.No subscriptions are needed for this and local storage with up to 128GB class 10 microsd is supported which will store I believe 6days or so of continuous recording or a significantly longer amount of video clips if using it only for detected activity. Homebase 3 ups the storage capabilities and AI detection, but I have yet to try that.So if you are using it for security and are expecting it to be reliable for human detection, I’m not sure I could recommend it. If you have a small room that has no obstructions, it would work well I think in that case. If you just want to have a cam that has easy remote access to check in on things, I would recommend if you get it on sale. While it has been a bit disappointing in some regards, it has surprised me in others in quality in a good way. For the price, I will probably pick up another one at some point for various uses like checking in on 3D printer, checking on laundry or whatever else you could think of.

I want to start off by saying that I currently own 6 Eufy cameras. 3 indoor, 2 outdoor, plus a new e340 doorbell camera that I am waiting to be delivered. All of these cameras are great. Especially these E220’s. I got the 2 pack for a pretty good price from Amazon. I also LOVE Amazon! These e220’s are easy and very fast to install. I’ve already got the eufy app, so install is literally only 5 mins per camera. Most of the time is due to the updating and syncing to my wifi. The actual install only takes 1 minute, the rest of the time is spent waiting for the update etc.The camera quality is good at 2k. They have a nice wide field of view. The picture quality is great. Obviously, the more resolution the better, but these ones are good enough for my indoor use. They zoom, have an alarm on them and you can speak and listen through them as well, via the app. They are plugged into a 120V wall socket. They have pretty good night vision as well. They record when movement is detected and you can customize it all in the app with many different options. I always buy SanDisk 10 speed, 120GB MicroSD cards for these cameras. They work 100% of the time in these devices and they hold a ton of information. Best thing with these Eufy products is that there are ZERO monthly fees and you can view the cameras via the app from anywhere in the world with a stable wifi connection and your phone or tablet.I highly recommend these cameras. I also highly recommend Eufy, itself. I will be buying more. Thanks Eufy! Feel free to reach out to me so that I can review more of your products, especially on my YouTube channel! Thanks.

I recently purchased the eufy security camera, and I couldn’t be more impressed with its performance and features. Here’s why it’s the best low-budget option with HomeKit Secure Video compatibility, excellent video quality, human detection & tracking, and a compact form factor.**Low Budget Brilliance**: One of the standout features of the eufy security camera is its affordability. It’s perfect for budget-conscious users who still want reliable home security.**HomeKit Secure Video**: I was thrilled to find a budget-friendly camera that supports HomeKit Secure Video. This adds an extra layer of privacy and security, allowing me to store and review footage on my Apple devices with end-to-end encryption.**Crystal Clear Video**: The eufy camera delivers exceptional video quality. The 2k resolution ensures that every detail is sharp and clear, whether it’s day or night. The night vision is particularly impressive, providing a clear view in low-light conditions.(but due to Apple conditions it’s reduced to 1080P.**Human Detection & Tracking**: The eufy camera’s ability to detect and track humans sets it apart from many other budget cameras. It reduces false alerts and ensures that you’re notified only when a person is detected, which is especially handy in high-traffic areas. In conclusion, the eufy security camera is a fantastic low-budget option that doesn’t compromise on essential features. With HomeKit Secure Video compatibility, top-notch video quality, human detection, and its compact design, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their home security.
