Judge this masterpiece for yourself. Negative reviews are baffling!
After Black Ops II, I watched Call of Duty go down the regrettable path of future warfare. However, thematics weren’t the only issue. For whatever reason, COD lagged behind in graphical development, despite the tremendous budgets that should have been enabled by such a top-selling franchise. When I first heard about COD WW2, I had a spark of hope, but my experience over the past five years left me understandably skepticle. Then the reviews came out- specifically, the user reviews. My doubts were confirmed. This was the final nail in the coffin. However, when the game went on sale, I decided it would be worth the risk to be my own judge on the franchise’s return to its WW2 roots. Having nearly renounced COD, playing Battlefield games almost exclusively, I was shocked by how misled I had been by the opinions of other users. I went into this game expecting a disaster and after many hours invested, COD WW2 has completely restored my faith in what seemed to be a dying franchise. Regarding my previous criticisms about graphical fidelity, this game is unbelievably realistic running through the Xbox One X on a Samsung KS8000. It’s been a long road, but Call of Duty has finally earned next-gen status. The introductory D-Day mission, alone, is quite possibly the greatest video game experience I have ever had. It is visceral, brutal, tragic and almost too believable. The multiplayer is fast paced and the customization options are extensive. Contrary to many user complaints, I find the maps fluid, intuitive and competively structured. My only misgiving concerning the multiplayer would be enemies periodically spawning behind you, but this has only minimally detracted from my experience. I haven’t touched the Zombie mode yet, so this review may be partially incomplete, but I felt some urgency to post, considering the proliferation of negative feedback.Sledgehammer doesn’t deserve complaints, they deserve many, many thanks.

Has that World at War Feel with the WW2 model that made the 1st 3 Call of Dutys so special
I got this game in the mail yesterday and was nervous to play it due to plenty of bad reviews.I believe the bad reviews are due to the multiplayer issues. However, this is the most fun I have had with a call of Duty Game since World at War, Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare. The multiplayer I played until 2a in the morning and couldn’t get enough of it. It has a different feel especially with the Headquarters where you can socialize with other players and walk around a pretty large area and sign up for events, buy mods, etc.Multiplayer the maps are medium to large in size and distracting because they look so cool. Hell I have got shot several times just stopping to get a view lol.Zombies I played a few rounds and it was pretty good, even though the zombies are not my favorite part but it is a fun stress reliever. The campaign so far feels like a holly wood movie with the variety of movie stars in this movie. The graphics are pretty good even on my regular model XBOX One.

Some are better than others- MW II was my favorite- but after …
After 10+ years and as many COD titles the fact is that we are SPOILED. Yes, that’s right… spoiled by the creators of these games. Some are better than others- MW II was my favorite- but after so many iterations we have see it all. This title in particular falls in the middle. The singer-player campaign is pretty good- typical fast-pacing and decent story. The multi-player interface is kind of clunky and excessive. However, the multi-player is the reason why I got the game. The game play itself is great. COD is the best in he business in this regard. It is extremely fast-paced, the graphics are better than average. People who complain about the lack of weapons or the ranking system are being babies. If you are good you are good. You should be able to rack up kills with different weapons regardless of the fact that your favorite rectile is only dropped in the zombie mode as it’s a rare crate item. The HQ area where one goes to get rewarded with loot is kind of silly- it is almost identical to The Tower or whatever it’s called in Destiny. It’s set up as a social area where players are supposed to interact with each other and the environment. The large majority of players, myself included, do not want to speak with our in any way interact with other people. The only exception is when they are in my cross-hairs.If you are looking for some diversity in your gaming and want something fun and relatively easy to play I recommend this title. If you are a hardcore gaming enthusiast, you will find something to complain about no matter what. Clean the cheeto crumbs out from under your D pad- maybe that is why you can’t get the 1 shot 1 kill badge.

Finally another great COD!
BEST COD SINCE BLACK OPS I! So I expected to hate this game. I didn’t like World at War one bit. I was excited to get away from all the flying around nonsense that we have been living though. This game is awesome. It is still fast it has some fun additional multiplayer game modes from previous models. The Zombies part is good again finally and the campaign is really good also. I rarely even play campaign version anymore they are so disappointing but this one is really good. It has the right amount of “reality” to a FPS game. I am in my early 30’s and most of the people I play with are between 25-50 and the consensus is that this game is a really good one among all of those gaming friends. This is a quality game. Are there things you won’t like, probably there always are but when it is all said and done I am tremendously happy with this game.
