My really like playing Metal Gear, so decided to get this on Nintendo Switch. Now, he can play on the GO, instead the home console. Great game and price! Go AMAZON! Also great delivery, game was perfectly received! FIVE STARS! Thank you!

Great Collection But Not Perfect
I grabbed this new for $20 and for that price it’s a must have. You must download the games as the games are not installed on the cartridge itself other than the NES games. You also have to have the cartridge in the console to play the games which is odd since they were downloaded. I haven’t played most of these games before and I didn’t notice anything wrong with MGS2 nor the MSX games. MGS3 does have some FPS issues during cutscenes but I can’t complain too much since I got this so cheap.

Worth having…BUT
Metal Gear Solid is that one game from my youth that really got me into video games. Aside from those repetitive (but fun) side scroller type games. MGS really brought story telling alive in a game. It’s worth having all three of these titles remastered and rereleased BUT at least for the switch BEWARE that buying the digital version might be better if not the same as the physical edition. All 3 games HAVE to be downloaded! Which is to me is stupid because what is the point of having the cartridge? Once placed in the system you need to download all three games (and bonus crap) but then you still need the cartridge to play them! It just seems unnecessary and annoying for taking up so much space! Don’t get me wrong it’s worth having MGS and MGS3 back to play at my leisure. The memory thing is just something I wish I was made aware of before buying the physical version. like I started though, MGS is that game that got me into gaming. That alone is worth having it for. Plus you get three games which is hours/days/weeks of nostalgic fun. Makes me optimistic that one day MGS4 will be rereleased! That game only came out on ps3 like 15 years or more ago and has never been remastered or available on any of the next gen consoles. Maybe Hideo Kojima can influence that game to come out! 🤞🏻

A must buy for any Metal Gear fans.
This is a great collection.I own digitally for PlayStation 4/5 and I wanted to get this physical version for the switch for something to have on the shelf because I’ve always love the series and I wanted a portable version of the collection. This is awesome and runs great on the Switch. If you love Metal Gear series, no matter what platform you buy this collection on, it’s very good.

Finally MGS 1-3 on Nintendo!!
This is an amazing collection of some of the most influential games of our lifetime. I wish they had done a little more rather than just a 1:1 port for each title but I’ll take what I can get. Never before has MGS (The first game) been on consoles (other than PS) not to mention the fact that it’s portable on the Nintendo Switch. This is a great 5 game collection, however, there are a couple of caveats: 1. There is a MASSIVE download required for the physical version (almost 23GB) 2. The framerate targets 30fps, but doesn’t always reach that mark. 3. This collection is on updated hardware but there is little on offer as far as upscaling resolution, and increased framerates (at least on the Switch version.) As a package, that includes tons of bonus, content, like graphic novels, lore literature, and PDF versions of the original game manuals, 5 complete games and even a couple of bonus modes for MGS1, it’s a must buy for physical collectors, MGS fans, and newcomers alike. If you’re a stickler for better graphics and increased framerates you may want to get it for one of the current gen consoles instead, but as a massive collector of physical Switch games I love this collection.

What’s actually on the cartridge? Read below.
This game collection is the most utterly confusing mess for any physical Switch game to date. Probably the worst collection in terms of preservation and for gamers who buy physical media. Konami is extremely CHEAP and don’t care about quality physical products. What’s on the Cartridge? On cart:- Metal Gear (MSX2)- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX2)- Metal Gear (NES/Famicom) *Located in Bonus Content- Snake’s Revenge (NES) *Located in Bonus ContentNot on cart:- Metal Gear Solid (includes VR Missions)- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater- Digital Soundtrack *Located in Bonus Content- Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 Digital Graphic Novels (They are videos and must be downloaded from eShop) *Located in Bonus ContentI gave it a rating of 5 stars for the games because they are pretty solid (pun intended). I’d give it negative stars for the physical/collecting aspect of it though (passing solids). It’s a shame they didn’t put any of the games that everyone wanted on the cartridge. The real meat and potatoes of the collection. For Metal Gear Solid, I recommend turning off the filter in the options because it’s really blurry with it on. Other than that, the games play fine. I didn’t have any issues with framerate.

Obsessed
I love Metal Gear Solid! It’s great to be able to play all 3 with one game card. I think it’s a great value for the money, especially if this product is on sale. I especially like the ability to put on a retro filter for MGS1 🩷

Three great games with extras. Main games METAL GEAR SOLID, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: SONS OF LIBERTY, and METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER all run at 30 FPS, according to Internet sources. The original MGS2: Sons of Liberty, by the way, ran at 60 FPS on the PlayStation 2. Dealbreakers for some, not an issue for others.

Altamente recomendado.
